Before installing the S7-/S7Z-Window please read carefully the installation instructions.
Prerequisite for correct installation is a flat outer wall surface of the vehicle.
The place where the S7-/S7Z-Window is to be installed must be selected to ensure that the window will not
impair any adjacent components, cables or fitted cupboards in the vehicle interior or detract from the
functions of fastening or reinforcing components. To avoid damage to the wall, the cut-out must be sturdy
(for example reinforced with wooden frames – not included in the package). The vehicle wall has to be
constructed in the area of the window frame in such a way that the power of the clamps can be transferred.
The S7-Window profile is suitable for a wall thickness 15/16-1 21/32" [24-42 mm]. The S7Z-Window is suitable for
wall thickness 1 3/32-1 9/16" [28-40 mm]. The frame will be screwed with clamps from the back side on the wall.
Remark: No liability is assumed for incorrect installation of the S7-/S7Z-Window.
Installation Steps:
1. Ascertain the position of the S7-/S7Z-Window
according to the conditions mentioned above.
2. Determine the dimensions of the cut-out. The
aperture size correspond to the ordering size of the
window. Max. Tolerance of the cut out +1/32" [1mm]/-0.
Corner radius 4 x R 2-15/16" [75 mm] (Photo 1).
3. In order to avoid scratches on the wall surface, the
perimeter should be covered with sticky tape before
the cutting or mill-cutting begins. Execute the cut-out
with a suitable tool (for example jig saw or a routing
machine - Photo 2).
