Operation
Horizontal (automatic)
Non-alarming state is when the phone is in
horizontal position (i.e. bag).
The function is activated if the phone is tilted
approximately 45° from horizontal position for more
than 5 sec.
After 30 sec. the emergency call sequence is
initiated

The function is deactivated if the phone is placed
into safe/horizontal state within 25 sec.
Vertical (automatic)
Non-alarming state is when the phone is in vertical
position (i.e. pocket or lanyard).
The function is activated if the phone is tilted
approximately 45° from vertical position for more
than 5 sec.
After 30 sec. the emergency call sequence is
initiated

The function is deactivated if the phone is placed
into its safe/vertical mode within 25 sec.
Motionless (automatic)
The function is activated if the phone is motionless
(which could indicate unconsciousness of the carrier) for more
than 5 sec.
After 30 sec. the emergency call sequence is initiated

The function is deactivated if motion of the phone is detected
within 25 sec.
