Why is there no gas going to the main burner on my Dovre SAPPHIRE DV425TR Stove?
    • A
      Amanda MoodyAug 6, 2025
If there's no gas reaching the main burner of your Dovre Stove, start by checking the gas pressure to ensure it's at the correct level (7" NG/11" LP). Next, make sure the pilot light is lit and allow the thermo-generator enough time to heat up and power the main operator. If the pilot light won't ignite or stay lit, consult the relevant sections for pilot light troubleshooting. Also, verify that the control knob is rotated to the "ON" position.

What to do if the main burner lights while the Dovre SAPPHIRE DV425TR Stove is in pilot position?
    • M
      Mike CortezAug 12, 2025
If the main burner of your Dovre Stove lights while the control is in the pilot position, the main operator coil might be defective or there could be debris on the seat of the main valve, or the main seat blown out as a result of exposing an LPG Gas Valve to an unregulated line pressure in excess. To check the coil, remove all wires from the operator head and measure the electrical resistance between the TP and TH terminals using an Ohm meter. If the resistance is not within the specified range, or in case of debris or blown out main seat, the valve needs to be replaced.

Why does the pilot light keep dropping out on my Dovre SAPPHIRE DV425TR Stove?
    • D
      Dr. Tammy BellAug 19, 2025
If the pilot light keeps dropping out on your Dovre Stove, it could be due to a blocked pilot orifice or the wrong pilot orifice being installed. Try replacing the orifice with a new one of the exact size and type specified for your appliance and gas type.

How to fix a Dovre SAPPHIRE DV425TR Stove when the pilot light will not hold?
    • C
      Christina StoneAug 25, 2025
If the pilot will not hold on your Dovre Stove, it may be due to a defective magnet. If the mV reading is above 6mV and the Safety Magnet does not hold, replace the Valve. To verify operation of Safety Magnet, remove all wires from the terminals of the main operator and measure the electrical voltage between the Termihals TPTH and TP. If the voltage is above 110mV and the Safety Magnet does not hold, replace the Valve.

What to do if the thermostat/wall switch won't cycle the main burner on my Dovre SAPPHIRE DV425TR Stove?
    • D
      davidgarciaOct 30, 2025
If the Dovre Stove's main burner won't cycle, first, ensure the thermostat is in the "ON" position and adjust the temperature control to call for heat. If this doesn't work, the issue could be the thermo-generator output voltage, a defective thermostat or thermostat wiring. If the minimum voltage requirements aren't met, replace the thermo-generator. Test the voltage by placing a jumper wire between TPTH and TH, ensuring it doesn't fall below 300mV. Then, connect the thermostat wires to the same terminals and check that the voltage doesn't drop below 150mV, which would indicate excessive resistance in the thermostat circuit. Also, make sure that all mV connections are made using wire of the proper size and that the thermo-generator leads are connected to the TPTH and TP connections of the ...
