Do you have a question about the D+H ZA 105-K and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The ZA 105-K is a rack and pinion drive designed for the electric opening and closing of windows and flaps in both facade and roof areas. It is suitable for indoor mounting only and can be used for smoke extraction as part of a D+H Euro-SHEV system in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2, as well as for daily ventilation. The device operates on a 230 VAC supply.

Technical Specifications:

  • Type: ZA 105-K
  • Rated Voltage: 230 VAC, +10%/-15%, 50 Hz
  • Performance: 27 W / 30 VA
  • Nominal Force: 1000 N* (with approximately 20% cut-off reserve, temporary)
  • Runtime/100 mm: 10 seconds
  • Nominal Locking Force: 1100 N
  • Service Life: >20,000 double strokes
  • Duty Cycle: 30% S2 (EN 60034-1), meaning no continuous voltage
  • Housing: Aluminium, PC
  • Protective System: IP 65 (IP 54 for "-W" option, if mounted outdoors)
  • Temperature Range: -5°C to +75°C
  • Emission Sound Pressure Level: LpA ≤ 70 dB(A)
  • Nominal Stroke Length: See type plate

The device is supplied with a 2.5 m silicone cable. Bracket sets are available separately, depending on the type of window.

Safety Notes:

Users must read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with the product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury. All warnings and instructions should be saved for future reference.

  • Operating Voltage 230 VAC! Risk of injury from electric shock. Do not reverse L+N; connect PE. Connection must be carried out by a certified electrical technician.
  • Danger of crushing hands and fingers! Keep people away from the operating area of the drive and keep children away from the control.
  • Observe the pressure load diagram of the rack and pinion drive rack.
  • Use only in dry rooms. Suitable for indoor mounting only.
  • A rain detector should be used in locations where there is a risk of rain. The "-W" option is available for outdoor mounting.
  • Use unmodified original D+H parts only.
  • Observe the bracket-set mounting instructions.
  • Observe the enclosed red safety note.

Mounting Information:

  • The swivel radius of the drive must have clearance across the entire range of the stroke to prevent damage to the rack and pinion drive and the suspension.
  • Drives with a stroke of ≥800 mm must not be mounted "hung up at the bottom" (e.g., bracket UK).
  • The eyebolt must be adjusted so that the drive is disconnected with the closed flap through its inside stop position damping. Brackets can be damaged by too rigid adjustment.
  • Technical clarification is required with D+H in cases of only tensile force applications exceeding 500 N.

Usage Features:

The ZA 105-K is available in a standard version and a version without a tube (option "-OT"). Bracket sets must be ordered separately. The device's dimensions vary based on the stroke length. For a stroke ≥ 165 mm, the total length is "Nominal stroke + 162" for the standard version and "Nominal stroke + 223" for the "-OT" version. For stroke lengths of 82 mm or 100 mm, specific dimensions apply.

Shifting of Motor:

  1. Move out the toothed rack approximately 10-20 mm.
  2. Disconnect the drive from electric voltage.
  3. Take off the drive unit and shift it.
  4. Attention: The moving direction of the drive will change. The drive cable on the shutdown PCB, switch red (+) with black (-).

Shifting of Drive Cable:

Disconnect the drive from electric voltage before shifting the drive cable.

Maintenance and Cleaning:

Inspection and maintenance must be carried out according to D+H maintenance notes. Only original D+H spare parts may be used, and repairs must be carried out exclusively by D+H. Debris or contamination should be wiped away with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.

Guarantee:

A 2-year guarantee is provided for all D+H products from the date of verified handover of the system, up to a maximum of 3 years after the date of delivery, provided that mounting and starting have been carried out by an authorized D+H distributor. The D+H guarantee expires if D+H components are connected with external systems or mixed with parts from other manufacturers.

Disposal:

Electrical devices, accessories, batteries, and packaging should be sorted for environmentally friendly recycling. Do not dispose of electrical devices and batteries in household waste. For EC countries, in accordance with European Guideline 2012/19/EU for waste electrical and electronic equipment, electrical devices that are no longer usable must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.
