How to use the hotplate: before first use (when using for the first time) set
the highest temperature for about 5 minutes, in order to remove processing
residues that may cause unpleasant odors. Do not place any objects or utensils
on the hotplate at this stage.
For an optimal use of the hotplate, we recommend utensils with a very thick
base and a diameter not exceeding 15-17 cm, with a capacity of no more
than 1 L (for 500W - 1000W hotplates). It is also recommended not to use pots
with a diameter smaller than the cooking plate when cooking.
USE ONLY SUITABLE FLAT-BOTTOMED POTS AND PANS!
Pots and pans should have flat bottoms in order to transfer heat steadily and
to obtain the exact specifications indicated for the temperature controls. The
dimensions of the pan and the plate should be identical.
This is the right pan. It has a flat
bottom and absorbs the heat of
the cooking plate very well.
This pan is too small and does not
cover the edges, resulting in heat loss.
This pan is not suitable.
The transfer of heat between the
cooking plate and the pan is poor.
HOW TO OPERATE IT
Cover ought to fit tightly on the respective pot or pan so that no steam can
escape.
The cooking plate is equipped with a thermostat, which prevents overheating.
However, it is always necessary to switch off the device in good time.
Switch the unit off or to a lower level in good time in order to save energy. The
cooking plate still will emit intensive heat for a few minutes, which you may
use to complete the cooking process. However, the cooking time shall be less
than 1 hour.
MODE OF USE
Use the temperature selector dial to heat the hotplate to the desired power,
using this guide as a reference. Important: When not in use, the temperature
selector dial must always be set to zero "0" and disconnected from the mains.
1. For heating or slow cooking delicate foods or sauces.
2. Slow cooking.
3. For simmering large quantities of food.
4. Frying or meat.
5. For bringing food up to temperature quickly.
6. Boiling.
Note: The ON-OFF control light goes out automatically when the set
temperature is reached and comes back on again to restore it, operating the
thermostat cyclically.
Additional safety information: The following basic safety rules must be
scrupulously followed when using the cooking plate:
1. Never immerse the hotplate in any liquid, not even partially.
2. Oils and fats must never be left cooking without supervision, as they reach
very high and dangerous temperatures.
3. Hot surfaces are hot, never touch them directly or indirectly.
