SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE
Leaking pump shaft seal
Broken drive shaft; See authorized service dealer.
Engine/pump misalignment; Correct alignment as necessary.
Damaged shaft seal; See authorized service dealer.
Plugged oil breather; Make certain reservoir is properly vented.
Wedge continues to
move forward when
control handle is
released
Damaged control valve; See authorized service dealer.
Control handle does not
return to neutral when
released from forward
position
Hydraulic fluid too cold; Warm up engine.
Hydraulic fluid too thick; Replace hydraulic fluid.
Hydraulic fluid contaminated; Replace hydraulic fluid.
Damaged control valve; See authorized service dealer.
Before performing any maintenance procedure or inspection, stop the engine, wait five minutes to allow all parts to cool.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, keeping it away from the spark plug.
