Microprocessor Features

Display Features

Magnum Unit States

Unit in Power Up

Describes the initial 60-second delay during chiller startup.

Scheduled Off

Indicates the unit is shut down due to a user-set schedule.

Run;Stop Switch Off

Displays when the Run/Stop switch is turned off, disabling relays.

Off - No Flow

Indicates no flow detected through the evaporator, disabling relays.

No Run - I;O Lost

Signals a lost connection with an I/O expansion board.

Unit is Holding

Shows the unit is at the target temperature and maintaining it.

Unit Unloading

Indicates the unit needs fewer cooling levels and is reducing capacity.

Unit is Loading

Shows the unit needs more cooling levels and is increasing capacity.

Unit is Unloaded

Displays when all cooling levels are disabled and the unit is not running.

Unit is Loaded

Indicates all cooling levels are active and the unit is at full capacity.

Unit in Lockout

Signals a critical situation causing harm to the chiller.

Magnum Alarms

Freeze

Triggers if fluid out temperature drops below Setpoint #111.

Low Suction Superheat

Trips if suction superheat falls below Setpoint #17 for a set time.

High Discharge Pressure

Trips if discharge pressure rises above Setpoint #81.

Low Discharge Pressure

Trips if discharge pressure drops below Setpoint #85.

Low; Unsafe Suction Pressure

Trips if suction pressure drops below Setpoint #77 or #80.

No Flow

Trips if the Flow Switch on the evaporator detects no flow.

Phase Loss

Triggers if the chiller loses phase, causing temporary shutdown.

Emergency Stop

Displays when the Emergency Stop Switch has been turned on.

Low Discharge Superheat

Displays when discharge superheat drops below Setpoint #84.

High Discharge Temperature

Displays when discharge temperature is above Setpoint #87.

Compressor Fault; Compressor Proof

Indicates high motor temp or lack of compressor proof signal.

High Motor Amperage

Displays when compressor amperage rises above Setpoint #75.

Low Motor Amperage

Displays when compressor amperage drops below Setpoint #76.

Dirty Oil Filter and Low; Unsafe Oil Differential

Indicates issues with oil filter or oil pressure differential.

Oil Float

Displays when the digital input for oil float is ON.

Sensor Fault

Occurs when a sensor input is not receiving feedback.
