What to do if Drolet ECO-45 feeds pellets but will not ignite?
    • J
      John LopezAug 13, 2025
If your Drolet Pellet stove feeds pellets but won't ignite, it could be due to several factors: the air damper being open too far, a blockage in the igniter tube or its inlet, a faulty igniter element, a malfunctioning thermistor heat sensor, or the control board not sending power to the igniter. Try turning the air supply knob toward the minimum setting for startup. Remove the burn pot and clean it, ensuring all openings are clear, including the igniter tube. Check if the igniter element glows after applying power to it directly.

Why my Drolet ECO-45 Pellet stove stops feeding pellets and shows on the control board?
    • R
      Ricky JonesAug 17, 2025
If your Drolet Pellet stove stops feeding pellets, it may be because the L-250 manual reset high temperature switch has tripped. Locate the L-250 high temperature switch and press the red button on the back of it. If you hear a click, reset the stove. Inspect your unit, making sure the convection blower works and cleaning any dust off of its windings and blades.

Why does the auger motor on my Drolet ECO-45 stop feeding pellets and then start again?
    • D
      Deborah LiuAug 20, 2025
The auger motor in your Drolet Pellet stove might be overheating, causing its internal temperature shutoff (thermal protector) to trip. Empty the hopper, remove the auger motor, and inspect the auger shaft for bent flights, burrs, or broken welds. Remove any foreign material and check the auger housing for damage. Clean the auger housing thoroughly to remove all pellet dust.

      Patricia GreenAug 25, 2025
If the control board on your Drolet Pellet stove isn't displaying any information, a fuse on the control board may have blown. Remove the control board and check the F2 fuse on the back of it. If it appears to be bad, replace it with a 7.5 Amp 250 Volt fuse.

Why does the glass soot up so fast on my Drolet ECO-45?
    • T
      Thomas ReedAug 28, 2025
The glass on your Drolet Pellet stove might be sooting up quickly due to several reasons: a dirty stove or vent pipe restricting airflow, improper vent pipe installation, the air damper being closed too far, blocked burn pot holes, a blockage in the air intake pipe, the combustion/exhaust blower not spinning fast enough, or the use of bad pellets. Try cleaning the stove and vent pipe, adjusting the air damper, cleaning the burn pot, inspecting the air intake pipe, or using a different brand or type of pellets, ensuring they are dry and stored properly.
