4.7 REPAIRS
The following diagnostic table indicates the main anomalies which may be encountered, the probable causes and possible
solutions.
The anomalies shown are:
the pump fails to deliver sufficient oil or no oil at all;
the pump fails to deliver oil at the prescribed pressure;
failure to release line pressure (only on systems with volumetric valves).
In case of doubts and/or problems which cannot be resolved do not attempt to disassemble parts of the machine but contact
the Engineering Department of DROPSA S.p.A.
INDICATION
The pump does not deliver oil or does not
deliver oil in the exact quantity prescribed
The pump does not deliver oil at the
prescribed pressure
PROBABLE CAUSE
The oil in the tank is below the
minimum level
The suction filter is dirty or
blocked
The pump control valve fails to
discharge
The internal connections are
loose
The compressed air pressure is
insufficient
REMEDY
Fill the tank with oil without
exceeding the MAX level line
Open the cover of the pump, remove
the suction filter and clean it
Check that the pump control valve is a
3-way type and that the valve
regularly discharges compressed air
from the pump pneumatic chamber
when the air supply is cut off.
Remove the plate from the tank and
carefully tighten all connections
ensuring there are no leaks
Increase the compressed air pressure
to reach the required oil pressure
value
