SA1350 Server Installaon and Appliance Registraon
Please refer to the corresponding User Guides for server soware installaon instrucons.
Aer turning on the SA1350 for the rst me, a screen prompt is displayed for registering the
appliance. If the screen prompt is not shown, please follow the instrucons below:
Press and hold
1. Control + Shi + Space
to exit the WCM
Player soware.
Navigate
to 2. Start | All Programs | DT Research | WebDT
Signage Player
Select 3. Register WebDT Signage Player Again. The Player
Registraon screen should appear. Fill in all elds to register.
The required informaon is marked.
Click 4. OK to register and connect to the WebDT Signage
Appliance Publish Server.
NOTE: If your CA1350D comes with the smart card reader module, make sure the card slot faces up.
Step 1:
Remove the two side screws.
Step 2:
Place the stand, screw and ghten the two M3 x
10mm screws included in the package.

Step 2: Mount Appliance to Bracket

Remove appliance screws, place appliance on bracket rail, align holes.

Step 3: Secure Appliance

Re-insert and tighten screws to secure the appliance to the bracket.

Overview

The DT Research SA1350/CA1350D/DT135D is a versatile computing solution designed for digital signage, cloud computing, thin client, and embedded controller applications. These devices feature a compact and robust design, powered by high-performance, energy-efficient AMD Fusion processors. They are compatible with major embedded operating systems such as Linux, Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded, Windows® CE, and Windows® Embedded Standard 7, catering to a wide range of computing needs.

Function Description:

The SA1350/CA1350D/DT135D serves as a core component for various computing environments. For digital signage, it can drive displays and manage content. In cloud computing and thin client setups, it acts as an endpoint for accessing remote resources. As an embedded controller, it can manage and automate specific tasks within a larger system. The device's robust design and support for multiple operating systems make it adaptable to diverse industrial and commercial applications.

  • Processor: High-performance, energy-efficient AMD Fusion processor.
  • Operating Systems: Supports Linux, Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded, Windows® CE, and Windows® Embedded Standard 7.

    • Front View:
      • DC-in: For power input.
      • DisplayPort: For video output.

Usage Features:

  • Stand Installation (CA1350D only): The CA1350D can be vertically placed using an included stand. Installation involves removing two side screws, positioning the stand, and securing it with two M3 x 10mm screws. If a smart card reader module is present, ensure the card slot faces up.
  • VESA Mounting: The device comes with a VESA-compliant mounting bracket, allowing it to be securely attached to a VESA-compatible monitor or display.
    • Step 1: Locate existing mounting holes on the monitor, align the bracket, and tighten screws.
    • Step 2: Remove two M3 screws from the product, place the product on the bracket rail with interface ports facing downwards, aligning mounting holes, and secure.
    • Step 3: Tighten the screws to ensure the bracket and product are properly secured.
  • Powering ON and OFF: The power button is located on the front of the product.
    • To turn ON: Push and release the power button. The adjacent blue power LED will illuminate, and the interface will be displayed on the monitor.
    • To turn OFF: Push and release the power button or use the software shutdown interface.
    • System Reset: In case of system lockup, push and hold the power button for at least 4 seconds to force a shutdown. This will result in the loss of unsaved work. Pushing the power button again will restart the device.
    • Automatic Power On (SA1350 only): The SA1350 is programmed to power on automatically when power is first applied or re-established.
  • Appliance Registration (SA1350 Server): After the initial power-on of the SA1350, a screen prompt for appliance registration should appear. If not, users can manually initiate registration:
    • Press and hold "Control + Shift + Space" to exit WCM Player software.
    • Navigate to Start | All Programs | DT Research | WebDT Signage Player.
    • Select "Register WebDT Signage Player Again."
    • Fill in all required fields on the Player Registration screen.
    • Click OK to register and connect to the WebDT Signage Appliance Publish Server.

Maintenance Features:

  • Precautions:
    • Always exercise care during operation and handling.
    • Do not disassemble any portion of the enclosure, as this will void the product warranty.
    • Use only the AC/DC adapter provided with the device or acquired from the manufacturer/partners.
    • In case of smoke, abnormal noise, or strange odor, immediately power down the product, disconnect all power sources, and report the problem to the device provider.
    • Report any issues to the device provider immediately.
  • Software and User Guide: The package includes a Software and User Guide (for CA1350 Linux zero client and SA1350 only) to assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • System Updates: The USB ports facilitate system software recovery and updates, ensuring the device can be maintained and upgraded over time.
