How to troubleshoot a Ducar DVO130 that does not start?
- AAmber HarperAug 6, 2025
If your Ducar Engine does not start, there might be several reasons. First, check if the battery is empty and charge it if necessary. Ensure the fuel shut-off valve is open. Verify that the controls are in the correct position for starting. Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank. If the engine was stored for a long time, drain the old fuel and replace it with fresh fuel. Inspect the spark plug for defects or fouling and adjust the gap or replace it. If the spark plug is wet with fuel, dry it and try starting the engine with the throttle in the FAST position. If all else fails, there may be a clogged fuel system, carburettor malfunction, ignition malfunction, or jammed valve, which may require replacing or repairing defective parts.
