Why won't my Duracraft DC1800 Pressure Washer motor start or why does it stop?

  The Duracraft Pressure Washer motor might not start or may stop due to several reasons: the GFCI may have tripped (turn off the unit and firmly press the GFCI reset button after connecting to the electrical supply), the circuit breaker may have tripped or a fuse blown (disconnect other loads on the same circuit and reset the breaker or replace the fuse), the plug may be loose (reconnect it), or the pressure washer circuit breaker may have tripped (allow the unit to cool before restarting).

  If the circuit breaker trips or a fuse blows when using your Duracraft Pressure Washer, it could be due to a circuit overload (ensure the circuit is rated 15 amps or greater and disconnect other loads), an incorrect extension cord (use the recommended cord from the manual), a partially blocked nozzle (clean the nozzles as instructed in Section 5.2), or excessive pressure (reduce the pressure using the adjustment knob).

  If your Duracraft Pressure Washer motor runs, but the pump isn't building maximum or has irregular pressure, consider these possibilities: ensure the faucet is open, check if the unit has been stored in freezing temperatures and thaw it completely, inspect the water inlet screen for clogs and clean it, bleed air from the pump by running the pressure washer with the gun open and wand removed until a steady stream appears, or ensure the adjustable pressure knob is set to maximum.

  If your Duracraft Pressure Washer isn't intaking chemicals, check if the injection tube is securely inserted, replace the tubing if it's cracked, switch the nozzle to low pressure, clean the nozzle if blocked, clean the injection tube strainer if clogged, or dissolve dried chemicals by running warm water through the injection tube.

  A small amount of leakage from the bottom of the Duracraft Pressure Washer pump is normal. If excessive leaking occurs call Powerwasher Help Line Customer Service Department.
