Why won't my DuraHeat Gas Heater light?
    • D
      diazmichelleJul 28, 2025
There are several reasons why your DuraHeat Gas Heater might not light: * The valve on the propane cylinder may not be open. To resolve this, open the cylinder valve by turning it counterclockwise. * The propane cylinder could be empty. If so, have the cylinder refilled. * The regulator might not be in the "High" position. Ensure the regulator is turned to the "High" position. * The excess flow device may have been triggered. Close the cylinder valve, wait 5 minutes, and then reopen it slowly. * The regulator itself could be defective, requiring replacement of the regulator assembly.

What to do if there are excessive flames coming out of my DuraHeat Gas Heater burner and it's not glowing red?
    • H
      hmasonAug 4, 2025
If you observe excessive flames that are not glowing red on your DuraHeat Gas Heater, it could be due to: * Debris or spider webs in the mixing tube or burner. You should clean the burner tube with a bottle brush, rinse it in water, and ensure it's thoroughly drained before reinstalling. * A clogged orifice. Try removing the orifice and cleaning it with compressed air.

What to do if the burner will not stay lit when gas valve plunger released on DuraHeat TT-15S?
    • N
      Natalie CampbellAug 15, 2025
If the burner on your DuraHeat Gas Heater won't stay lit after releasing the gas valve plunger, consider the following: * Check the wiring connections of the thermocouple to ensure they are properly engaged. * The thermocouple may be defective and need replacement. * The gas valve itself could be defective, requiring replacement of the gas valve assembly.
