I
ntroduction
This meter is designed to measure DC and AC voltage, DC and AC current, Resistance, Frequency and Duty Cycle,
Temperature, Capacitance, Diode and Audible Continuity test. It features a separate On/Off switch, large LCD display
with backlight, multi-function switch and 5 buttons select the various functions and ranges. Red and black leads with
t
est probes and push on crocodile clips are provided for electrical measurements and a contact temperature probe
a
re included. The meter switches off after approximately 30 minutes if no section has been made, this function can
be overridden by pressing the blue button when turning the meter on.
WARNING
Be sure to read the warnings and follow the instructions in this manual. Incorrect use may put the user in danger.
Safety rules and warnings!
1. Do not operate unit with rear cover removed, high voltage circuitry may be exposed!
2. Before use ensure that battery and leads are serviceable and connect leads to appropriate sockets.
3. Select correct function and manual range if required.
4. Do not attempt to measure values in excess of the maximum.
5. Do not switch between functions when connected to circuits being tested.
6. Use only new fuses of correct rating in the event of a fuse failure.
7. The battery must be renewed when the battery symbol is displayed otherwise accuracy will be affected.
8. Switch off unit when not in use to reduce battery drain.
9. Do not use this multi-meter in wet conditions.
10. Observe safety warnings in these instructions as danger to user could be present when testing some circuits
or components.
