Why is my Dust-Hog SUPRA-CONIC Dust Collector emitting dust?
    • C
      contrerasstaceyAug 17, 2025
If you're noticing dust emissions from the clean air discharge of your Dust-Hog Dust Collector, here’s what might be happening: * The filter(s) might not be installed correctly. Inspect and reinstall the cartridge filter(s). * The filter(s) could be damaged. Replace any damaged filters with new Supra-Conic® filters. * The filter(s) might not be seasoned or pre-seeded. Follow the instructions in Section 6.2 to pre-seed the filters, as some particle bypass can occur until new filters are seasoned. * The dust particles might be too fine to form a proper dust cake. Pre-seed the filters or reduce the manifold pulse pressure by a 10 lb. (0.7 BAR) increment.

Why does the compressor on my Dust-Hog SUPRA-CONIC Dust Collector run constantly?
    • G
      George BradleyAug 28, 2025
If the compressor in your Dust-Hog Dust Collector continually runs, consider these possible causes: * There might be an air leak in the system. Check the air manifold reservoir system for air leaks at tube fittings and the diaphragm valve. Test all fittings using a soap solution and correct any leaks you find. * The pressure switch might be improperly set to control 93 PSIG (6.5 BAR) manifold pressure. Reset the pressure switch to cut out at 93 PSIG (6.5 BAR). * The check valve might be sticking open or has failed. Clean and/or replace the check valve located below the pressure switch.

What to do if Dust-Hog SUPRA-CONIC Dust Collector compressor won't start after power failure?
    • C
      Cassie ReidSep 5, 2025
If the compressor of your Dust-Hog Dust Collector won’t start after a power failure, the compressor internal overload may be tripped. Allow the compressor to cool down. Manually lift up the pressure switch external unloader valve. Compressor connections are under pressure and need to be released prior to compressor restarting.

Why won't the blower motor start on my Dust-Hog SUPRA-CONIC?
    • A
      Adam PatelNov 13, 2025
If the blower motor of your Dust-Hog Dust Collector won’t start or stay running, several issues could be the cause: * The input power circuit might not be operational. Check the input power to the motor circuits to ensure proper voltage on each phase. * Improper electrical wiring could be the problem. Verify and correct the internal motor wiring for proper connections based on the incoming line voltage. * The starter overloads might be tripped. Check the motor starter overload rating against the full load amps on the motor nameplate, and adjust or replace the overloads as necessary. * The blower rotation could be running in reverse. Check the blower rotation and swap motor leads to reverse it if needed. * The hopper discharge might be open to the atmosphere. Ensure the drum is p...

How to increase airflow in my Dust-Hog Dust Collector?
    • J
      jacksonsaraNov 20, 2025
If you're experiencing insufficient airflow in your Dust-Hog Dust Collector, consider the following: * The blower rotation might be running in reverse. Check the blower rotation and swap motor leads to reverse the blower rotation. * A bolt-on blower compartment access door might be loose or open. Remove the door and verify that the door gasket is not damaged. Close the door and turn the handles to latch it shut. * The filter compartment door might be open or leaking. Open the door and verify that the door gasket is not damaged. Close the door and turn the handles to latch it shut. * The ductwork volume control damper might not be properly adjusted. Check the motor current draw and open the damper(s) until the amperage draw is increased but still below the full load rating of the m...

What causes high pressure drop across filters in Dust-Hog SUPRA-CONIC Dust Collector?
    • S
      Steven SantanaNov 24, 2025
If you're seeing a continual, excessive pressure drop (over 5” w.g. [127 mmG]) across the filters in your Dust-Hog Dust Collector, here are some potential causes: 1. There may be compressed air supply problems. Verify that the compressor is supplying 93 PSIG (6.5 BAR) of air to the air reservoir manifold for downtime filter cleaning operation. 2. The filter cleaning system may not be functioning properly. Check the incoming 100-120V power to the cleaning system electrical PC controller card and check for blown fuse(s) on the cleaning system PC controller card. 3. The cleaning system may not be firing properly with customer-supplied compressed air. Verify no wiring is connected at “SW PRESS” and “CMP” terminals on PC controller card. 4. A diaphragm valve may not be firing. Check for lo...
