DWIGHTS — ESCAPE DUO 240
PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING – all tents must be securely pegged to the ground using all the peg points
provided. All guy ropes attached to the tent must be used at all times for added stability.
If all peg points and guy ropes are not used, your tent warranty may be void and possible
damage to your tent may occur.
1. Stretch out the inner in approximately the position you want it, ensuring any sharp
objects such as stones and branches are cleared out of the way. Make sure the doors and
windows are zipped open to allow air in during the pitching process.
2. Assemble all the poles, ensuring each section locks securely together to form continuous
lengths.
3. There are 4 different sets of breglass poles.
» 4 x Red poles – These poles are for the main rear room of the tent.
» 1 x Black poles – This pole is for the middle of the vestibule.
» 2 x Grey poles – These poles are for the front of the vestibule.
» 1 x shorter ridge pole for the vestibule.
4. Slide 2 red pole sets through each red sleeve on the inner. Insert the pins in each corner
of the tent into the pole ends. Then connect the plastic clips on the inner to the poles.
Ensure these clips face outwards.
5. Slide the black pole set through sleeve in the middle of the vestibule and insert the pins
into the pole ends.
6. Insert the 2 grey poles into the pole sleeve on the front of the vestibule and insert the
pins into the pole ends. Connect the plastic clips from the inner onto all vestibule poles.
7. Put the ridge pole into the eyelets located in the pole sleeves in the vestibule.
8. Peg out the inner tent with pegs through the steel rings.
9. Pull the ysheet over the inner. The front corner panels of the y have the logo to help
you align it correctly. On the inside of the y are 16 velcro tabs. Wrap these around the
breglass poles and ensure they are aligned correctly with the inner tent. This helps keep
the y in position but importantly it greatly improves the overall strength of the tent.
10. Peg out all peg points on the y sheet ensuring the vestibule door zips ow freely.
11. Peg out the guy ropes as far as practical from the tent, whilst still leaving enough rope to
effectively use the rope tensioners. It is critical that the guy ropes are securely pegged out
as wind can pick up at any time.
