Function Description

The Dyness Split-Phase Hybrid Inverter is designed to manage and convert power in a hybrid energy system, integrating solar PV input, battery storage, and AC grid connections. It supports both on-grid and off-grid operations, providing backup power capabilities. The inverter is equipped with various communication interfaces for system monitoring and control, including BMS (Battery Management System), DI (Digital Input), EMS (Energy Management System), and GEN (Generator) & DRY COM (Dry Contact). It also features a DC switch for PV input and a built-in RCMU (Residual Current Monitoring Unit) to prevent DC residual currents.

  • AC Breaker: Depends on household loads.
  • Sequence: 5 (Main Meter) → 2 (DC Breaker) → 1 (Inverter) → 4 (AC Breaker) → 3 (AC Breaker).

Usage Features

LED Indicators: The inverter features a front-panel LED indicator that provides real-time status updates:

  • RUN:
    • ON: Inverter is running.
    • Single Flash: Inverter is powered on.
    • Double Flash: Inverter is starting.
    • OFF: Inverter is not operating.
  • OFF GRID:
    • ON: Backup is ready.
    • Single Flash: Grid bypass mode.
    • OFF: Backup port no voltage.
  • COM:
    • ON: BMS and meter communication OK.
    • Single Flash: Meter communication OK, BMS communication fail.
    • Double Flash: BMS communication OK, Meter communication fail.
    • OFF: BMS and Meter communication fail.
  • FAULT:
    • ON: Error occurred.
    • OFF: No errors.
  • SOC (State of Charge):
    • 4th LED Blinks: 0% ≤ SOC ≤ 25%.
    • 3rd LED Blinks: 25% < SOC ≤ 50%.
    • 2nd LED Blinks: 50% < SOC ≤ 75%.
    • 1st LED Blinks: 75% < SOC ≤ 100%.

Communication Interfaces:

  • GEN & DRY COM: For generator and dry contact communication.
  • BMS & DI & EMS COM: For Battery Management System, Digital Input, and Energy Management System communication.
  • RJ45: Standard Ethernet port for communication.

Installation:

  • Wall Mounting: The inverter is designed for wall mounting using a provided bracket and expansion plugs.
  • Clearance Requirements: Specific clearances must be maintained around the inverter to ensure adequate heat dissipation and access for maintenance.
  • Electrical Connections: Detailed instructions are provided for connecting PV input, battery input, and AC output, emphasizing correct wiring and stripping lengths.
