Function Description

The Earnshaw Timepiece is a finely crafted watch that combines standard timekeeping with chronograph functionality. It allows for precise measurement of elapsed time, making it suitable for various applications requiring micro-measurements. The watch draws its heritage from the renowned English horologist, clock and watchmaker Thomas Earnshaw (1749-1829).

Important Technical Specifications

Movement: Quartz-powered chronograph movement. Chronograph Measurement:

  • Maximum Measurement: 59 minutes, 59 seconds.
  • Resolution: 1/20 second.
  • 1/20 Second Hand Behavior: Moves continuously for 30 seconds after starting, then stops at the zero position.

Controls:

  • Crown: Used for setting time and date, and for chronograph reset. It has three positions:
    • Closed (0): Pushed back, ensuring water resistance.
    • 1st Click (1): Pulled out one click, used for setting the date. Not secured for water resistance.
    • 2nd Click (2): Pulled out two clicks, used for setting the time and for chronograph reset. Not secured for water resistance.
  • Push Button A: Used to start/stop the chronograph and for chronograph reset.
  • Push Button B: Used to reset the chronograph and for chronograph reset.

Water Resistance:

  • The water resistance indicated on the timepiece serves as a guide.
  • Actual water resistance can vary based on factors like temperature, water salinity, and actual use.
  • Water resistance may be compromised over time due to general wear and tear or adverse conditions.
  • Important Note: The warranty may be voided if the screw-down crown (if available) is not properly employed to maintain water resistance.
  • Crucial Warning: Never wear the watch in a jacuzzi, hot shower, or steam room. Steam can enter the case despite watertight seals, causing condensation, affecting inner workings, and potentially voiding the warranty.
