Why air hammering following EasyWater IRON SHIELD GX7 Water Filtration Systems regeneration?
    • W
      walkerhannahAug 10, 2025
If you notice air hammering following system regeneration in your EasyWater Water Filtration System, it's likely due to an inadequate flow rate required for filter backwash. Refer to Section ‘3.1 Filtration Specs’ for the Minimum Backwash Flow Rate requirements listed for your model. Ensure that the minimum Backwash Flow Rate is maintained throughout the entire regeneration cycle.

Why EasyWater IRON SHIELD GX7 water is cloudy?
    • P
      Paul MossAug 16, 2025
If your EasyWater Water Filtration System results in cloudy water that clears after a few seconds, it's likely due to higher levels of dissolved oxygen naturally present in unfiltered water. To address this, lower the ‘Air Charge Time’ from 40 minutes to 30 minutes. Note: If iron or H2S return after lowering the ‘Air Charge Time’ reset the ‘Air Charge Time’ to original manufacturer setting.

How to remove media fines from EasyWater Water Filtration Systems?
    • A
      Amber HurstAug 31, 2025
If you find media fines coming through your EasyWater Water Filtration System and clogging faucet aerators, shower heads, or tubs, it's likely due to inadequate media soak/startup. To flush the media out of the plumbing lines: 1. Shut off the home’s main cold water line. 2. Remove aerators or shower heads from faucets and showers where media has clogged. 3. With the main cold water line off and aerators/shower heads removed, turn the cold water on full stream at each faucet/tub/shower location. 4. Leave the cold water running at each location. 5. Turn the home’s main cold water line back on to clear air from the lines. 6. Repeat the above steps until all locations run clear. 7. Reinstall the faucet aerators and shower heads once the water runs clear.

What to do if EasyWater IRON SHIELD GX7 Water Filtration Systems unable to recognize start of regeneration?
    • P
      pharrisonNov 5, 2025
If the EasyWater Water Filtration System doesn't recognize the start of regeneration, it might be due to several reasons. It could be that the control valve has just been serviced or the control valve piston is not in the home position; in both cases, press and hold the ‘NEXT’ and ‘REGEN’ buttons for 3-5 seconds. Another cause may be a motor issue: check the motor and wiring, and replace the motor if necessary. The drive gear label might be dirty or damaged, or the gear could be missing or broken, so replace or clean the drive gear. Also, the drive bracket may be incorrectly aligned to the back plate, so reseat the drive bracket properly. Finally, the PC board could be damaged, defective or incorrectly aligned to the drive bracket, so replace the PC board or ensure it is correctly snapped ...
