We have provided a software switch in the driver that allows you to select which
format the Echo hardware transmits. In the window that appears you’ll see a pair of
check boxes in an area labeled S/PDIF Out Format: one box is labeled Consumer
and the other Professional. Select the appropriate format for your DAT (if you
don’t know which one to use and are having difficulties, simply try the one that is
not currently checked). No Echo hardware transmits the SCMS bit, regardless of
which format is selected.
