Thermocouple Tests
NOTE
Thermocouples seldom fail. Most thermocouple problems will be
broken wires or loose connections or shorted wires due to
insulation problems.
Using the following Figure 27 as a guide, check for frayed or loose wiring and
correct color-coding of the connections.

NOTE
The two thermocouples are interchangeable. You may trade the
wires of #2 thermocouple and #1 thermocouple for aid in
troubleshooting. Color coding of each pair must be observed.
