STEP ONE Assemble the Arch System

Step 1: Layout and Insert Arch Rafters

Layout one arch and insert the five arch rafters as illustrated.

Step 2: Guide and Insert Opposite Arch

Holding the opposite arch, guide the arch rafters into the routed holes.

Step 3: Fasten Arches to Rafter

Fasten the arches to the top rafter using 1 1/4 in. screws.

STEP TWO Assemble the Side Panels

Step 1: Insert Straight Vertical Spindle

Layout bottom rail and insert the middle STRAIGHT Vertical Spindle.

Step 2: Insert Bent Vertical Spindles

Insert the two vertical spindles that will be BENT into place.

Step 3: Attach Middle Horizontal Rail

Slide the Side Panel Middle Horizontal Rail over the three vertical spindles.

Step 4: Attach Top Horizontal Rail

Position the Side Panel Top Horizontal Rail and insert the Middle Vertical Spindle.

Step 5: Tension and Secure Side Panel

Tension bend the two outer vertical spindles; hold panel until inserted into post.

STEP THREE Connect Arch System to Side Panels

Step 1 & 2: Position Side Panels and Arch

Set out side panels ensuring post holes face outwards, insert assembled arch through top post holes.

Step 3: Adjust Opening Width

Adjust the opening to 42 inches between the posts for desired width.

Step 4: Fasten Arch System to Posts

Fasten the arch system to the posts by installing four screws at each post.

Step 5: Place Post Caps

Place the post caps on top of the posts to complete the assembly.

STEP FOUR Arbor Installation

A Into Earth for Temporary Installation

Instructions for securing the arbor temporarily into the ground using provided anchors.

Step 1: Move and Mark Arbor Location

Move the arbor to its final location, mark post positions, and lay it on its side.

Step 2: Excavate and Position

Excavate holes for anchors and carefully move the arbor back into position, leveling it.

Step 3: Drive Anchors and Backfill

Drive ground anchoring stakes through post holes and backfill with excavated soil.

B Into Earth For Permanent Installation

Guidance for permanently installing the arbor into the ground for increased security.

Step 1: Extend Posts with Lumber

Extend posts with pressure-treated lumber, shaved to 1 1/4 in. square and 46 in. long.

Step 2: Insert Wood into Posts

Insert wood extensions into the bottom of all four posts until they hit the bottom rail.

Step 3: Fasten and Install

Fasten wood extensions with screws and install directly into ground or concrete footing.
