Temperature Control
The temperature in the appliance is controlled by
the thermostat control knob located in the lower
(refrigerator) section. Turn the thermostat control
knob to regulate the temperature inside the unit.
The knob has markings to indicate the relative
temperature settings, but in general, turning the
knob counter-clockwise corresponds to warmer
temperatures; turning the knob clockwise
corresponds to colder temperatures.
The thermostat control has essentially 7 settings
(Off + 1 through 6). “6” is the coldest setting. We
suggest initially setting the unit on “3”. After 24
hours, the unit should reach and maintain the
temperature associated with the “3” setting. If this
is adequate for your needs, good. If not, you may
adjust the temperature warmer or colder.
Please note that this refrigerator has two
compartments; the lower compartment is a
refrigerator and the upper compartment is a
freezer. The thermostat temperature control in the
lower compartment controls the temperature in
both compartments.
Please also note that the upper (freezer)
compartment is a true 0°F freezer- if you set the
temperature control appropriately (i.e. to a low
enough setting), you may safely store ice cream
and dairy products.
