What to do if my Efco Chainsaw starts but the chain doesn't rotate?

  If your chainsaw starts but the chain doesn't rotate, it could be due to several reasons: * The chain brake is engaged. Disengage the chain brake. * The chain tension is too tight. Check and adjust the chain tension. * There may be an issue with the bar and chain assembly. Check the bar and chain assembly. * The chain or bar may be damaged. Inspect the chain and/or bar. * The clutches and/or sprockets may be damaged. Replace them if necessary, or contact an Authorized Service Center.

How to fix an Efco Chainsaw that won't start or dies after a few seconds?

  If your Efco chainsaw won't start or dies shortly after starting, ensure the switch is in the 'I' position. The issue might be due to: * No spark. Check the spark plug for a spark. If there's no spark, try again with a new spark plug (CMR7A). * The engine is flooded. Follow the procedure on page 20. If the engine still won't start, repeat the procedure with a new spark plug.

Why are the bar and chain on my Efco Chainsaw getting hot and smoking?

  The bar and chain may be getting hot and smoking because the chain oil tank is empty, the chain tension is too tight, or there is a malfunction in the lubrication system. To resolve this: * Refill the chain oil tank whenever you refill the fuel tank. * Check the chain tension. * Run the chainsaw at full throttle for 15-30 seconds, then stop and check if oil is dripping from the bar tip. If there is no oil, contact an Authorized Service Center.

  The engine might not be reaching full speed and could be emitting excessive smoke due to several reasons: * The oil/gasoline mixture might be incorrect. Use fresh gasoline and the appropriate 2-stroke engine oil. * The air filter might be dirty. Clean the air filter. * The carburetor might need adjustment. Contact an Authorized Service Center to adjust the carburetor.
