VACUUM KIT - ASSEMBLY
Assembly of the vacuum / shredder version of
the machine
Optional vacuum / shredder kit (Fig. 57):
1. Vacuum tube (in two pieces)
2. Bag intake tube
3. Bag
WARNING - When fitting the vacuum tubes, intake
tube and bag, the engine must be off and the switch
in the STOP position.
Preparation
- Insert the intake tube (C, Fig. 58) into the bag (D) up to the
end of the tapered part of the tube and secure with the Velcro
strap (E). Position the bag at the end of the tube, for greater
convenience when using the machine.
- For ease of assembly, the two pins (A, Fig.59) on the housing
and on the tubes are two different sizes. This means that the
tubes cannot be assembled incorrectly. Fit the intake tube
(C, Fig. 60) to the impeller housing, so that the two pins (F)
on the housing tube engage the two slots (B) in the intake
tube. Rotate the tube in the direction of the arrow (2) to lock
in place. When fitted, the intake tube appears as shown in Fig.
69. Secure the tube with the screw (G, Fig.61).
- Open the safety guard, using a screwdriver to ease back the
catch (H, Fig.62) retaining the guard in the closed position.
Insert the vacuum tube (L, Fig. 63), engaging the four pins (M)
on the impeller housing with the four slots (N) in the vacuum
tube. Rotate the tube in the direction of the arrow (2) to lock.
Push fit the end section of the vacuum tube (P, Fig. 64),
ensuring that the chamfer on the edge of the tube is facing
downwards.
WARNING - Before starting up the machine, make
certain the vacuum tube is fitted correctly.
