This document serves as an installation and operating instruction manual for EHRLE Mobile Hotwater High Pressure Cleaners, specifically covering the Etronic I/II and HDE-Series models. It provides comprehensive information for operators on device mounting, general and specific cleaning tasks (including oil-smeared, tarred, greasy, and chemically contaminated surfaces), and ensures safe and efficient handling of the equipment.
Function Description
The EHRLE Mobile Hotwater High Pressure Cleaners are designed for a variety of cleaning tasks across different industries. These devices utilize high-pressure hot water, and in some models, steam, to effectively remove dirt and contaminants. The Etronic I and II series are oil-heated, while the HDE-Series are electrically heated. The cleaners are characterized by user-friendliness, reliability, and environmental friendliness. They are suitable for industrial plants, businesses, buildings, construction sites, agricultural settings, vehicle cleaning, and public facilities. The devices can be operated with or without cleaning detergents, and specific models offer special applications for detergent agents in the food industry.

Usage Features
- User-friendliness: The devices are designed for ease of use, with clear control and indicator elements.
- Safety Devices: Include pressure switches, unloader and non-return valves, TSS system with pump-off delay, total switch-off for prolonged inactivity, overload protection switch, mechanical arrest for the trigger gun, and thermo switch for overtemperature (HDE-Series).
- Cleaning Operation:
- Standard Operation: Involves unlocking the trigger lever, setting the device switch to position 1 (or "Burner" for hot water), and adjusting the thermostat for desired water temperature. Pressure can be adjusted via the unloader valve.
- Detergent Operation: Models like HD623 to HD1240 and HDE-Series have integrated detergent tanks (left/right) or suction via a filter (detergent suction hose). The HD523 requires optional equipment for detergent use with an external tank.
- Food Industry Application (Premium versions): Special 2 L bottles for additional chemistry can be mounted on the trigger gun, with dosage controlled by an adjustment controller.
- Hose Management: Premium versions include a hose drum for the HP-hose, which must be fully unwound during steam operation.
- Mobility: HD523 models have two wheels and one guide roller, while HD623 to HD1240 and HDE-Series models have four wheels.
- Commissioning: Requires professional execution by authorized personnel who have read and understood the manual. A visual inspection for damage is crucial before operation.
- Decommissioning: For temporary decommissioning, the device should be depressurized, water inlet hose disconnected, and stored in a frost-protected location. For longer periods, follow the same steps and ensure proper storage.
Maintenance Features
- Periodic Inspections: Regular inspections are crucial for safety and performance. These include checking the trigger gun, HP-hoses, electrical plugs and cables, high-pressure pump, oil leakage, oil level, water inlet filter, detergent suction hose filter, spray nozzle, boiler, and safety systems.
- Manufacturer Tests and Certificates: Before delivery, each high-pressure cleaner undergoes factory tests, including a heat coil water pressure test at 350 bar and a general factory test.
- Federal Immission Control Act: Oil- or gas-fired high-pressure cleaners (Etronic I and II) must be checked annually by a chimney sweep for emission limit values.
- Guidelines for Liquid Sprayers: High-pressure cleaners must be inspected by an expert at least every 12 months, with results recorded in writing. EHRLE service technicians are available for this.
- Frost Protection: The manual provides instructions for draining water from the high-pressure cleaner or rinsing it with antifreeze agent to prevent frost damage during storage.
- Filter Cleaning: The water inlet filter should be regularly cleaned by unscrewing it from the adapter and rinsing with clear water.
- HP-Hose Inspection: HP-hoses must be visually inspected before each commissioning for signs of wear, repairs, overaging, or low durability. Defective hoses must be replaced with manufacturer-approved parts.
- Oil Change: Oil changes should be performed using the manufacturer-specified oil, adhering to environmental protection requirements for proper disposal.
- Troubleshooting Table: The manual includes a comprehensive troubleshooting table to identify and remedy common issues, such as the device not switching on, pump operation problems, or heating failures.
- EHRLE Maintenance and Inspection Contract: EHRLE offers maintenance contracts and security inspection agreements to ensure the long-term functionality and safety of the devices.
