Do you have a question about the EINHELL TE-AG 125/1010 CE Q and is the answer not in the manual?
The Einhell TE-AG 125/1010 CE Q is an angle grinder designed for grinding metal and stone, provided the appropriate grinding wheel and guard are used. It is a robust tool intended for its prescribed purpose, and any other use is considered misuse. The user or operator is responsible for any damage or injuries resulting from improper use. This equipment is not designed for commercial, trade, or industrial applications; using it in such settings will void the warranty.
The angle grinder is equipped with a spindle lock (1) for easy wheel changes. An On/Off switch (2) controls the power, while an additional handle (3) ensures secure and comfortable operation. A guard (4) protects the user during grinding. The quick-clamp nut (5) facilitates quick and tool-free wheel changes. A speed controller (6) allows the user to select the optimal speed for different applications.
The tool features constant electronics, which maintain the set speed even when the tool is under load, ensuring consistent performance. The speed controller offers six different positions, ranging from approximately 4,000 rpm to 12,000 rpm, allowing for precise speed adjustment based on the material and grinding/sanding tool.
For rough grinding (Fig. 7), the grinder should be held at an angle of between 30° and 40° to the workpiece surface, guiding it back and forth in steady movements. When cutting (Fig. 8), it is crucial to avoid tilting the grinder in the cutting plane, ensuring the cutting wheel maintains a clean cutting edge. A diamond cutting wheel is recommended for hard stone. The machine must never be used on asbestos materials, and a cutting wheel should not be used for rough grinding. Proper ventilation of the motor is vital during operation, so the ventilation holes must be kept clean.
Before connecting the equipment to the mains supply, ensure that the data on the rating plate matches the mains data. The angle grinder must always be used with the additional handle (3) fitted, which can be screw-fitted in two positions (A, B) to accommodate both right-handed and left-handed users.
The guard (4) must be adjusted to protect the user's hands and direct ground material away from the body. Its position can be adjusted by undoing the clamp handle (a), turning the cover to the desired position, and then securing the clamp handle again. It is critical to ensure the guard correctly covers the gear wheel casing and is securely fastened. The angle grinder must never be used without the guard.
Before using new grinding wheels, allow the angle grinder to run in idle for at least one minute with the wheel fitted. Vibrating wheels must be replaced. Only grinding or cutting wheels with a diameter no larger than specified should be used, and their rated speed must be checked to ensure it is higher than the angle grinder's idle speed. Wheels must be approved for a minimum speed of 12,000 rpm and a peripheral speed of 80 m/sec. When using diamond cutting wheels, the directional arrow on the wheel must point in the direction of tool rotation. Grinding/sanding wheels should be stored and transported carefully, avoiding shock, jolts, or sharp edges to prevent damage.
To start the equipment, push the On/Off switch (2) forwards and press it down. To switch off, depress the On/Off switch (2) at the back, which will then return to its starting position. The spindle lock should only be pressed when the motor and grinding wheel are at a standstill and must be kept pressed while changing the wheel. The quick-clamp nut (5) allows for easy wheel changes by turning it counterclockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten. For safety, the quick-clamp nut (Art. No.: 44.308.90) is specifically designed for this angle grinder.
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work. Keep all safety devices, air vents, and the motor housing free of dirt and dust. The equipment should be wiped with a clean cloth or blown with compressed air at low pressure immediately after each use. Avoid using cleaning agents or solvents, as these can damage plastic parts. Ensure no water seeps into the device to prevent electric shock.
There are no parts inside the equipment that require additional maintenance. In case of excessive sparking, the carbon brushes should be checked by a qualified electrician only. Carbon brushes should only be replaced by a qualified electrician.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service, or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.
For ordering replacement parts, provide the type of machine, article number, identification number, and the replacement part number. The safety guard for cutting (Art. No.: 44.500.48) is available as an accessory.
The equipment is supplied in packaging designed to prevent transit damage. The packaging materials can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various materials, including metal and plastic. Defective equipment should not be disposed of with household refuse but taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal.
Store the equipment and accessories out of children's reach in a dark, dry place, above freezing temperature, ideally between 5 and 30 °C, and in its original packaging.
