QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE
Eko Duo: Digital Stethoscope
Sender (Patient end)
1. Ensure Eko device is fully charged prior to using (place black side down on charging pad: all lights
will light up when fully charged)
2. Ensure iPad is connected to Wi-Fi
3. Open Eko app
a. Select For Clinicians to get to log in screen
4. Log in to Eko app (username: ; password: )
5. Turn on Eko device: press and hold the center button until you see the white light flashing (light
will remain flashing until paired to Eko app). Flashing = not paired; Solid = connected
To transmit live stream to receiving provider (Receiver):
a. Tap settings option in top left corner (three small horizontal lines)
b. Turn on “Live Stream” by tapping the on/off option : will be green when live stream
is on (will see a banner at top of screen with “Eko is Livestreaming”)
c. Provider will log in to Eko and listen live using the link in the website.
OR: you can email the link to provider.
i. Below the Live Stream options, select Email live stream link
ii. Send via email (or Share within Jabber call by copying and pasting into Jabber chat:
press home button to get out, then open Jabber and paste)
iii. Enter the email of the provider and tap send link
d. If not already paired, tap Connect Deviceon iPad to pair device
e. Place diaphragm of Duo stethoscope (round part of the black surface) as
appropriate/directed by receiving provider
i. Press firmly on bare skin to avoid extraneous sounds
ii. Amplify sound by pressing the volume button on side of device
To send a Saved Recording to receiving provider:
a. Tap and hold the round blue “record” icon in bottom of screen to save the recording. If you
are satisfied with the recording,
a. Swipe up near bottom of screen; tap “Position” to show where Duo was positioned.
b. Save to existing patient or add a new patient by tapping the “assign” icon.
b. Open patient list, select patient, click the information option (“i”) at top right
c. Scroll to “Share Patient”, add email and select “Done”.
d. Receiver will need to log in to Eko app to listen to recordings.

***: Use high quality headset or earbuds to listen to sound
