Why is the Elba Stove flame yellow and smoky?

  A yellow, smoky, or flickering flame, or black soot under your cooking utensils, indicates a misadjustment of the air and gas mixture. To fix this, adjust the air regulator in the conduction tube by moving the regulator up or down to allow more or less airflow until a proper blue flame is achieved.
