This document describes the Elechomes HTJ-2119 Large Screen Ultrasonic Humidifier, a device designed to quickly and evenly humidify large indoor spaces. It incorporates intelligent humidification technology to automatically maintain a fixed humidity percentage, ensuring a comfortable environment.

Function Description:

The Elechomes HTJ-2119 is an ultrasonic humidifier that produces cool mist. Users can set the mist strength to low, medium, or high levels. A notable feature is its sleep function, which ensures ultra-quiet operation and turns off the LED display for an undisturbed night. The device is equipped with dual mist nozzles that can be rotated 360° independently, allowing for flexible mist direction. It also offers 12 preset time settings, enabling users to schedule humidification for up to 12 hours. For an enhanced experience, a few drops of essential oil can be added to the aromatherapy box, providing a soothing aroma. Safety is prioritized with water shortage protection technology, which prevents the humidifier from operating at low water levels and extends its lifespan. The humidifier also comes with a remote control, allowing convenient access to all its functions. The device is compliant with hazardous substances management ordinances.

Usage Features:

To operate the humidifier, first ensure it is placed on a smooth, stable, and flat surface, at least 2 meters away from TVs, audio equipment, and other electric appliances, and away from heat sources, curtains, beds, or other furniture. The water tank should be filled with cool, clean water (at least 3L), preferably purified water, and the cap must be tightly sealed. The tank should not be filled with water hotter than 105°F.

Upon plugging in the power cable, the humidifier will beep and enter standby mode. Pressing the ON/OFF button initiates operation, illuminating the LED screen to display the humidifying level, ambient temperature, and humidity. Pressing the ON/OFF button again ceases operation, returning the humidifier to standby mode. If the humidifier is turned off but not unplugged, previous settings will be restored. After being turned off, the internal fan runs for 3 minutes to dry the air channel and prevent bacterial and fungal growth.

The Humidity button allows users to set a desired humidity level. The device will automatically shut off once the room reaches this level and reactivate when the ambient humidity drops 5%RH below the set humidity. The mist will continuously spray in default mode, regardless of ambient humidity. Each press of the button increases the humidity level by 5% until it reaches 90%.

The Min/Max button adjusts mist strength. One press sets it to medium, a second press to low, and a third press returns it to high.

The Sleep button activates sleep mode, silencing button tones and turning off all indicators while maintaining full functionality. The indicator icon will light up for 3 seconds upon device operation in sleep mode before turning off. Pressing the sleep button again exits sleep mode.

The Timer button sets the desired humidifying time from 1 to 12 hours. Each press increases the time by 1 hour. Pressing the button when the screen displays 12 cancels the timing settings. The LED display shows the remaining time, and the unit automatically stops and enters standby mode once the set time expires. The LED display can also be turned off by pressing the Timer button for 2 seconds, without affecting selected settings.

The Child Lock button disengages the control panel, indicated by a beep and a lock icon on the LED screen. Pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds deactivates child lock mode. When using the remote control, a single press of the button deactivates child lock.

The device features a Water Shortage Alert, indicated by 10 beeps and a flashing icon, causing the humidifier to shut off automatically when water is insufficient. The alert remains until the water tank is refilled and the ON/OFF button is pressed.

For aromatherapy, users can remove the aromatherapy box, add essential oil to the cotton until saturated, reinsert the box, and turn on the humidifier.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

• Water Tank Cleaning (every 2-3 weeks): Lift the water tank, unscrew the valve, and wipe off any scale. Rinse with water. If scale is in the base, wipe it with a soft cloth. Clean the scale near the Floater.
• Base Cleaning (once a week): Pour out water from the base according to the arrow mark to prevent internal damage.
• Atomizing Plate Cleaning: Add 5 drops of dish soap to the atomizing plate, soak for 5 minutes, then clean with a brush and rinse with water.
• External Cleaning: Rinse a soft cloth in warm water (below 40°C) and wipe surface stains.
• Storage: For long-term storage, clean and dry the humidifier, then store it in its original box in a dry place.

Precautions for Cleaning:

• Use only a cotton swab or brush to clean the atomizer; avoid hard tools.
• Do not use chemical solvents, gasoline, kerosene, or polishing powder.
• Prevent water from entering the machine body to protect internal electrical parts.

Filter Replacement:

• Replace the filter at least every 3 months.
• Clean the filter surface regularly and rinse internal components with a strong jet of water.
• Dry and store the filter in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Battery Replacement (for the Remote):

1. Press the locking tab toward the pulling slot to remove the battery compartment.
2. Dispose of the old battery properly.
3. Place a new 3V CR2025 battery with the positive side facing up.
4. Replace the battery compartment. The maximum working distance for the remote control is 5 meters (16 ft.).
