Troubleshooting
MOUNTING TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit will not turn on/off
easily
Check grounding path of
copper tape to unit
Buttons are difficult to
press and connection
between buttons seems
sluggish
Unit may be mounted
too tight to mirror. Back
hardware off slightly and
try again
Button LED stays on after
touch
Board is too tight to
mirror, back off all
hardware and tighten to
finger tight.
LAMPING TROUBLESHOOTING
The Keen unit is on and
the buttons are
illuminated, but lighting
does not change
Check the wiring from the
relay if applicable
Double check the
connections between the
lighted unit and the Keen
unit
The Keen unit is on and
the buttons are
illuminated, but the
lighting is at the lowest
setting
Check the Gray and Violet
wires for the dimming
portion
If the Gray and Violet
wires are crossed, the
ballast/driver will be at
the lowest dimming level
POWER TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit is not receiving
power
Check cable connections
make sure there is a solid
connection
Check green light on
Power Supply to confirm
power supply is receiving
power
Unit has power, but
buttons are inoperable
Try to touch the backside
of the board in the
corners of where the
buttons are located; this
will confirm that the
buttons are in power and
of use
Check grounding path
and grounding
connection to board
The unit has intermittent
function (Lights flash on
and off)
Make sure the unit is
connected to earth
ground. If using a plug in
receptacle, use a ground
fault tester to indicate
faulty circuit. If it’s not
connected to ground, it
will not function properly
