Included With This Product
Permanent washable air filter
Powered inlet damper
(2) temperature sensors
(1) current transformer (CT doughnut)
Chain kit for ceiling installations
Other Requirements
Low voltage (Class II type) wiring when using supply CT doughnut to control Make-Up Air unit
High voltage wiring
Fresh air intake wall or roof vent
Inlet/outlet ductwork
Application
This product aids in preventing building depressurization where there is single or multi-source exhaust
points, coupled with a tight building envelope such as:
Single, large exhaust source
- Kitchen range hood
Single or multi-speed exhaust blower interface
Multiple exhaust sources
- Bathroom fan, fireplace, dryer, gas furnace, dryer, etc.
Note
In applications where the exhaust fan utilizes a multi-speed blower, this product has the ability to
sense each fan speed by monitoring the amperage of the exhaust fan motor. After completing the
mechanical portion of the installation, see Multi-Speed Setup for further details explaining how
to utilize this unique feature. Configuring the Make-Up Air unit to vary its speed to closely match
the blower speed of the external exhaust source blower motor allows for balanced system
operation.

Why is the display blank on my Electro Industries Air Conditioner and nothing is turning on?
    • G
      Greg ElliottAug 13, 2025
If the display is blank and nothing is turning on, first check the 2A fuse located on the control board to ensure it is in good working condition. If the 2A fuse is open, replace it. If the fuse is not open, check the primary and secondary side of the transformer to ensure power is available. If voltage is detected, disconnect all low voltage wires (excluding the 24VAC secondary side of the transformer) from the control module. If the screen remains blank, the board should be replaced. If the screen illuminates and displays 'FAN OFF', there is an issue with the low voltage wiring.

What to do if my Electro Industries EM-MC00 unit is not producing heat?
    • R
      rcameronAug 16, 2025
If the unit is not producing heat, start by checking the unit display, which should show 'FAN OFF' or the temperature screen. If the screen is blank, check the 2A fuse. If the display shows 'FAN OFF', the unit is not being told to turn on, so verify the field low voltage wiring is correctly connected to CT or R & W. If the screen displays the temperature, compare the OUT and DT; the unit will not engage the electric elements if ST is greater than DT. Also, check the 'message' LED. The manual reset limit may be open; this switch is located in the control box. Note that heating is locked out when the entering air temperature exceeds 55°F (12.7°C), and this cannot be bypassed.

What should I do if the blower is not turning on in my Electro Industries Air Conditioner?
    • K
      kylebarajasAug 21, 2025
If the blower is not turning on, begin by checking the unit display. It should show 'FAN OFF' or the temperature screen. If the screen is blank, check the 2A fuse. If the screen displays 'FAN OFF', the unit is not being told to turn on, so verify the field low voltage wiring is correctly connected to CT or R & W. If the screen displays the temperature but the blower is not on, check for power to the blower motor. If power is present, verify switch R & W IN only closure between circuit board T18 and T19 (must be an active call). If there is no switch closure between T18 and T19, replace the circuit board. If power is present and switch closure is detected, replace the blower. If power is not present, check the high voltage wiring.

How to fix inadequate warm air temperature in my Electro Industries Air Conditioner?
    • B
      browncassidyAug 25, 2025
If the unit is not delivering adequate warm air temperature, start by cleaning the filter, as a lack of airflow can reduce the unit's heating output. Next, check the 'message' LED. Verify the correct system setup, including the SET POINT DIAL/HI LO Jumper and CONFIGURATION DIAL. Also, check the source amp draw to verify all elements are working correctly.

Why does the blower in my Electro Industries EM-MC00 Air Conditioner only run in 'high speed'?
    • J
      Jessica ChaseAug 28, 2025
If the blower runs only in 'high speed', and you are using the 'R & W' terminals (option 1), this is the expected behavior. High speed blower is the only option in this configuration. If using CTs, ensure correct wiring of CTs, making sure the high speed blower CT only connects to the CT terminal block (TB2) 'HI' input. If using the 'Multi-Spd Setup' option, verify the external exhaust blower motor is not running high speed. Once verified, it is suggested you run through the 'Multi-Spd Setup' again to verify correct programming.

Why is my Electro Industries Air Conditioner blower running in 'MED speed' only?
    • T
      Thomas GreeneAug 31, 2025
If the blower runs only in 'MED speed', and you are using CTs to turn this product on, ensure correct wiring of CTs. Make sure the MED speed blower CT only connects to the CT terminal block (TB2) 'MED' input. If using the 'Multi-SPD Setup' option, verify the external exhaust blower motor is not running medium speed. Once verified, it is suggested you run through the 'Multi-SPD Setup' again to verify correct programming.

Why is the blower in my Electro Industries Air Conditioner running in 'LOW speed' only?
    • T
      Thomas GilbertSep 5, 2025
If the blower runs only in 'LOW speed', and you are using CTs to turn this product on, ensure correct wiring of CTs. Make sure the LOW speed blower CT only connects to the CT terminal block (TB2) 'LO' input. If you are using the 'Multi-Spd Setup' option, verify that the external exhaust blower motor is not running at low speed. Once verified, it is suggested you run through the 'Multi-Spd Setup' again to verify correct programming.
