- Change drum speed (on machines with MCU): The drum speed can be changed and activated.
- Status display: The status menu shows information like inlet air temp, outlet air temp, RMC, and if the heat is on or off.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the machine's longevity and performance.
Daily Maintenance:
- Cleaning: The door, door glass, door gasket, and other external parts should be cleaned daily.
- Filter cleaning: The filter and filter drawer must be cleaned after each drying cycle. This involves pulling out the filter drawer, removing the lint, and reinserting it.
- Second lint filter (for machines with heat pump): There are two warning messages indicating when the second filter needs cleaning: "CLEAN FIRST AND SECOND FILTER." and "CLEAN FIRST AND SECOND FILTER. IF NOTICE REMAINS, CONTACT RESPONSIBLE FOR CHANGING THE SPECIAL FILTER." If the first and second filter have been cleaned but the warning message remains, the special filter must be cleaned or replaced by the laundry manager or service personnel. The second lint filter is removed by pulling out the filter drawer, then removing the second lint filter, cleaning it, and reinserting it.
General Maintenance:
- Timer for maintenance: The machine can display a "TIME FOR MAINTENANCE" message, indicating that maintenance is periodically performed.
- Contacting service personnel: For maintenance beyond routine cleaning or if error codes persist, qualified service personnel should be contacted.
- Disconnection from power: Always disconnect power from the affected machine before performing maintenance.
- Lint trap: If the machine has a lint trap, it must be cleaned frequently.
- Lint accumulation: Lint must not be allowed to accumulate around the machine.
Error Codes:
The machine displays error codes for various issues:
- 12:11 DRYING ERROR WITH RMC PROGRAM: The RMC system indicates that the garment is not dry enough within the maximum drying time. Check that the machine is not overloaded, check parameter settings, and check for blown fuses or open gas supply.
- 12:17 AIRFLOW OBSTRUCTED. CONTACT PERSONNEL: Internal filters are clogged and must be cleaned. Contact service personnel.
- 12:18 REDISTRIBUTION OF LOAD NEEDED: The load is blocking airflow. Redistribute the load.
- 20:1 O.H. DRUM MOTOR: The drum motor is overheated. Wait 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool.
- 30:1 O.H. FAN MOTOR: The fan motor is overheated. Wait 30 minutes to allow the motor to cool.
For any error codes, disconnect power for 30 seconds. If the error code keeps coming back, contact authorized service personnel.
Disposal Information:
- End of life: Before disposing of the machine, ensure it is in good physical condition and that all parts are present. The machine's parts must be disposed of in a differentiated way according to local regulations.
- Specialized collection/scrapping centre: The appliance must be taken to a specialized collection/scrapping centre for dismantling and proper disposal of components, including refrigerant fluid and heat pump components.
- Packaging disposal: Packaging materials (polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene foam) are recyclable and should be disposed of in an appropriate waste incineration plant or through local recycling programs.
Safety Precautions:
- Only authorized personnel should carry out servicing.
- The machine should not be used if industrial chemicals have been used for cleaning.
- Do not dry unwashed items.
- Items soiled with substances like cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spot removers, turpentine, waxes, and wax removers should be washed in hot water with an extra amount of detergent before drying.
- Items made of foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps, waterproof textiles, rubber-backed articles, or pillows filled with foam rubber pads should not be dried.
- Fabric softeners should be used as specified by the manufacturer.
- Ensure the final part of a drying cycle (cool down cycle) is complete to ensure items are left at a safe temperature.
- Remove all objects from pockets.
- Never stop the machine before the end of the drying cycle unless all items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.
- Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent backflow of gases into the room from appliances burning other fuels.
- Exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.
- The machine must not be installed behind a lockable door, a sliding door, or a door with a hinge on the opposite side that would restrict full opening.
- Do not modify this appliance.
- When performing service or replacing parts, the power must be disconnected.
- If the power is disconnected, the operator must see that the machine is disconnected (that the plug is removed and remains removed) from any point to which it has access.
- Install the appliance in accordance with wiring rules, mount a multi-pole switch prior to the machine to facilitate installation and service operations.
- The appliance must be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by a utility.
- If different rated voltages or different rated frequencies are used, the appliance must be adjusted by a qualified service station according to the installation manual.
- Stationary appliances not fitted with means for disconnection from the supply mains having a contact separation in all poles that provide full disconnection under overvoltage category III, the instruction state means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
- The openings in the base shall not be obstructed by a carpet.
- Oil-affected items can ignite spontaneously, especially when exposed to heat sources such as in a tumble dryer.
- If it is unavoidable to dry fabrics that contain vegetable or cooking oil or have been contaminated by hair care products, they should first be washed in hot water with extra detergent.
