Do you have a question about the Electrolux EWT1574M7SA and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the Electrolux Top-Load Washing Machine, available in models EWT1574M7SA, EWT1374M7SA, EWT1574M7WA, EWT1374M7WA, and EWT1174M7WA. This appliance is designed for household use and similar applications, including staff kitchen areas, farmhouses, hotels, motels, bed and breakfast environments, and communal areas in flats or launderettes. It should not be supplied through an external switching device or connected to a circuit regularly switched on and off by utility.
The Electrolux Top-Load Washing Machine is designed to efficiently clean clothes with various program options and settings. It features an agitator for effective washing and a spin function to remove water. The machine incorporates an "Auto sensing water level" feature that automatically fills the tub to the appropriate level for the clothes load, optimizing water usage. Users also have the option to manually set the water level. The "UltraMix" feature helps dissolve and activate detergent ingredients by blending them with water before dispensing, enhancing cleaning performance. The "Dual Jets System" further improves cleaning by spraying water directly onto clothes, aiding in stain removal and thorough rinsing.
The washing machine has dimensions of 1092 mm (Height) x 670 mm (Width) x 720 mm (Depth). It operates on a power supply of 220-240 V~ / 50/60 Hz, with a total power consumption of 1900 W. The water supply pressure should be between a minimum of 0.08 MPa and a maximum of 0.8 MPa.
Maximum dry clothes capacity varies by model:
The spin speed ranges from a maximum of 700 rpm to a minimum of 550 rpm. The net weight of the machines are:
The energy label specifications, determined according to SASO 2885, are based on Cotton programs at 60 °C (full and half load) and 40 °C (half load), with specific settings for water level, temperature, rinse, and spin speed.
The control panel includes a program knob, touchpads for Water Level, Temp, Rinse, Spin, Soak, Delay End, Start/Pause, and Power. A display shows program duration, delay end time, alarm codes, and various phase icons (UltraMix, Soak, Wash, Rinse, Spin, Clean Filter Reminder, Child Safety Lock, Delay End).
Program Selection: Users can choose from various programs like Extra Dirty 120, Dirty 90, Full Load 60, Daily 45, Fast 20, Abaya, Bedding, Energy Saver, Stain, Tub Clean, and Rinse | Spin.
Water Level: The machine offers an auto-sensing water level, but users can also manually select Full, Mid, or Low levels.
Temperature: Four temperature options are available: Hot, Warm, Normal, and Cold. The machine automatically selects a suitable temperature for each program, which can be adjusted by the user. If only a cold water connection is available, only Cold washes should be selected.
Rinse Options: Four rinse types are available: Extra (2 cycles), Regular (1 cycle), Fast (3 spray rinse cycles for EWT1374M7WA/SA, EWT1574M7WA/SA; 1 spray rinse cycle for EWT1174M7WA), Eco (4 spray rinse cycles for EWT1374M7WA/SA, EWT1574M7WA/SA), and Hold (prevents laundry creases by turning the agitator every minute without emptying the last rinse water). Eco Rinse uses pulse sprays and short spin cycles to remove detergent.
Spin Speed: Users can select High (approx. 700 rpm), Mid (approx. 650 rpm), Low (approx. 550 rpm), or No Spin.
Soak Function: This option allows soaking heavily soiled clothes at the beginning of the wash. The lid must be closed for this function to operate, with the machine agitating for short periods.
Delay End: This feature allows users to define the program end time from 1 to 20 hours. It must be set after choosing the program and before pressing Start/Pause.
Child Safety Lock: This option, activated by pressing and holding the Child Safety Lock touchpad for about 2 seconds, locks all touchpads to prevent children from tampering with the control panel.
End-Of-Wash Buzzer: The buzzer can be enabled or disabled by pressing the "Water Level" and "Temp" touchpads simultaneously for about 3 seconds. Error warning beeps for critical faults are not disabled.
Loading the Machine: Clothes should be loaded evenly around the agitator, with small items first, followed by large items. The machine should not be overloaded, allowing clothes to move freely. A mixed load of large and small items is recommended for better cleaning.
Adding Detergent/Bleach: Powder or liquid detergent is added to the dispenser drawer. Liquid detergent can also be pre-mixed with water and poured directly onto the clothes. Oxygen-type bleach (powder) goes into the dispenser, or can be mixed with water and poured into the bleach hole during the fill cycle. Chlorine-type bleach should not be mixed with detergent; it should be mixed with water and poured into the bleach hole during the fill cycle.
Adding Fabric Softener: Fabric softener is poured into its designated compartment. The Regular Rinse option must be selected when using fabric softener. Thick softeners should be diluted.
Lint Filter Cleaning: The lint filter should be cleaned after each wash. To clean, remove the filter from the washing tub, unclip it, and clean it under a tap with a stiff brush to remove lint, then reassemble.
Dispenser Cleaning: The dispenser should be cleaned regularly to remove detergent residue. Remove the drawer, detach the top part of the additive compartment, clean with water and a brush, and dry.
Drawer Recess Cleaning: After removing the dispenser drawer, use a small brush to clean the recess, ensuring all washing powder residue is removed.
Water Inlet Filter Cleaning: If water is hard or contains lime deposits, the water inlet filter may clog. To clean, close the water tap, remove the inlet hose, clean the filter in the hose with a stiff brush, and then reinstall the hose, ensuring tight connections.
Washing Machine Cleaning: The inside and outside surfaces should be wiped with warm water and dried with a soft cloth. Solvents, alcohol, aerosol cleaners, glass cleaners, metal polishes, caustic materials, or scourers should not be used.
Cleaning Stains in the Washbowl: Stains from metal objects, salt, body oils, grease, or excessive foam can occur. To clean, wipe with a stainless steel cleaning product or a mild dishwashing detergent and warm water for oily deposits. Bleach cleaners or steel wool should not be used.
Troubleshooting: The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues and fault displays (e.g., E10 for water fill difficulties, E20 for draining difficulties, E30 for pressure sensor faults, E50 for motor system problems, E60 for heater relay failure, E70 for washing NTC failure, E91 for UI-MB communication error, EH0 for power supply frequency/voltage issues, EC0 for drive train triac failure, EF0 for foam warning or unbalanced load). It also addresses yellowing or greying clothes, suggesting solutions like using low-sudsing detergent, re-sorting loads, and adjusting detergent amounts.
