After the refrigerator has been connected, all accessible connections should be checked for soundness by
applying a soap/water solution over them and watching for bubbles with. of course, the gas-bottle and any
gas cocks in the line, turned on. DO NOT USE A FLAME. Thereafter, all connections should be checked
periodically, in the same way, to ensure that they have not loosened in use.

instruction booklet. The ventilation openings above and below the refrigerator must not be reduced in size
or obstructed in any way otherwise the performance of the cooling unit may be impaired
Levelling
When the refrigerator is operating, liquid refrigerant trickles through the pipework of the cooling unit under
the influence of gravity. To enable a satisfactory flow to take place, the unit must be reasonably level, from
side to side and from front to back, otherwise refrigerant can accumulate in pockets instead of flowing back
to the bottom, and the cooling process may be impaired or cease.
