What to do if my ELITE BISTRO Kitchen Appliances pressure cooker beeps and goes to Keep Warm before food is cooked?

  This usually happens when the pressure cooker detects insufficient liquid or a pressure leak. First, ensure all pressure is released, then open the lid and add liquid in 1/2 cup increments until the unit builds pressure properly. If that doesn't work, firmly push down on the lid to help the seal form, or release pressure and check that the rubber gasket ring is in place, the lid is securely locked, and the valve is set to 'Airtight'. Unplug the unit for 10 seconds, plug it back in, and reprogram it. Also, remember to replenish any liquid that may have evaporated during these steps.

Why is steam being released around the rim of the lid of my ELITE BISTRO EPC-202 during pressurizing?

  If steam continues to release from around the lid rim of your ELITE BISTRO pressure cooker for more than 10 minutes, or after the timer starts, it means that the Rubber Seal Ring didn't form a tight seal when the lid was locked. Try pressing down firmly on the lid. If this doesn't fix the issue, release all pressure, remove the lid, and check the Red Float Valve and Rubber Seal Ring. Ensure the ring is clean and smooth. Verify that the Red Float Valve is properly assembled and moves freely. Then, reposition and secure the lid before starting the cooking process again.

Check that the Red Float Valve is no longer in the up position; if it is, gently tap the lid to make it go back down. Then, turn the lid clockwise to unlock it. If it's still stuck, try unplugging the unit.
