Overview

The Elite Platinum 2.3QT. Oil-Free Air Fryer, model EAF-801(A~Z), is a versatile kitchen appliance designed for healthier cooking without the need for oil. It allows users to fry, cook, or bake a variety of meals and snacks with ease, offering a healthier alternative to conventional deep frying. The air fryer utilizes a unique vapor system combined with circulating hot air to make foods crispy and flavorful without added oil, contributing to a healthier lifestyle. Its design focuses on user-friendliness, featuring straightforward temperature and timer knobs for intuitive operation.

Function Description:

The primary function of the Elite Platinum Air Fryer is to cook food using hot air circulation, mimicking the results of deep frying but without the oil. This process allows for the preparation of crispy foods like fries, chicken, and snacks, as well as baking items such as cakes and quiches. The appliance is equipped with a temperature control knob, allowing users to set the cooking temperature between 180°F and 400°F. A timer control knob enables setting cooking durations from 1 to 30 minutes. For the appliance to begin heating, the timer knob must be set. The air fryer automatically pauses its cooking cycle if the drawer pan is removed during operation and resumes once the pan is reinserted. This feature enhances safety and convenience during the cooking process. The power indicator light illuminates when the unit is heating.

Usage Features:

Before initial use, all packaging materials should be removed, and the drawer pan and frying rack should be washed with warm, soapy water. The main housing should not be immersed in water but wiped clean with a damp cloth. It's crucial not to fill the drawer pan with oil or frying fat, as this is an oil-free appliance. The air fryer should be placed on a flat, horizontal, and stable heat-resistant surface, away from walls and other appliances, maintaining approximately 4 inches of space around it.

To operate, the drawer pan is pulled out from the main fryer body using the handle. Food should always be placed on the frying rack within the drawer pan; direct placement into the pan without the rack is not recommended. An oven-safe plate or bowl can also be used on a wire rack if the frying rack is not suitable for certain foods. It's important not to overfill the drawer pan beyond the MAX fill position, especially with foods that expand during cooking. Once the food is in place, the drawer pan is slid back into the main body.

The appliance is programmed by plugging it into an electrical outlet, then setting the desired temperature using the temperature control knob and the cooking time using the timer control knob. Preheating the air fryer for 3 minutes when cold, or adding 3 minutes to the desired cooking time, is recommended for optimal results. Initial use may produce a minimal smell and smoke, which is normal and harmless, originating from the protective substance on the heating elements.

During cooking, some recipes may require stirring or mixing the contents midway. This can be done by pulling out the drawer pan, shaking or stirring the food with a non-metallic utensil, and then reinserting the pan. The air fryer will resume cooking automatically. The drawer pan and frying rack become very hot during and immediately after use, so only the handle or oven mitts should be used when handling them. Any excess oil from the food will collect at the bottom of the drawer pan.

Once the timer completes its countdown, a bell will ring, and the air fryer will stop heating. The fan motor will continue to operate for about 60 seconds to cool down the drawer pan and frying rack. The appliance can also be manually switched off by turning the timer control knob to 0 at any time. After cooking, the drawer pan is carefully pulled out and placed on a heat-resistant surface. It's important to check if the food is ready and, if not, to return the pan to the fryer and set the timer for a few more minutes. When emptying the contents, non-metallic tongs or a scoop should be used to avoid scratching the non-stick surface. The drawer pan and frying rack should not be turned upside down together, as any collected oil would pour onto the food. The air fryer is instantly ready for the next batch of ingredients.

Maintenance Features:

Thorough cleaning of the air fryer is recommended after every use. Before cleaning, ensure the power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet and the appliance has cooled down completely. The drawer pan and frying rack, as well as the inside of the appliance, have a nonstick coating. To prevent damage to this coating, metal utensils or abrasive cleaning materials should not be used. The outside of the appliance can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

The frying rack can be lifted out of the drawer pan, and both parts can be cleaned with hot water, dishwashing soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. A degreaser can be used to remove any stuck-on residue. Both the drawer pan and frying rack are dishwasher-safe (top rack only). If food residue is stubborn, the frying rack can be placed back into the drawer pan, filled with dishwashing soap and water, and allowed to soak for 10 minutes. The inside of the appliance should be cleaned with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge. The power cord, plug, or the appliance body should never be immersed in water or any other liquids. After each use, all parts should be dried, re-assembled, and stored in a cool, dry location.
