What to do if my Ellis 9400 motor does not run?
- SShannon SandovalAug 21, 2025
If your Ellis Power Tool motor isn't running, there are several potential causes: * Ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a functioning receptacle. * Check that the VS Control Box is turned 'ON' by pushing and turning the Emergency Stop Button. * Verify the Speed Dial isn't set to '0'; turn it counterclockwise to increase the speed. * If the motor is too hot, the heat switch might have tripped; wait for it to cool off. * Avoid using GFCI protected outlets; plug into an unprotected outlet, ideally a dedicated 20 amp, 115 VAC circuit. * Confirm the power cord is plugged into the correct voltage outlet (115V for a 115V machine, 230V for a 230V machine).
