After having assembled, all electric pumps are subject to control test and packaged with maximum
care. When the machine is delivered, customer must check whether the pump suffered any damage and
immediately inform the seller about it. It must be done within 8 days from the date of the sale.
CHAPTER 2 – LIMITS OF APPLICATION
WARNING The electrical pump is not suitable for pumping
flammable or dangerous liquids.
WARNING Strictly avoid the dry running of the pump.
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF THE LIQUID 35°C in case of continuous operation
MAXIMUM DEPTH OF IMMERSION With the motor fully submersed, with 5m 10
supply conduit
NUMBER OF STARTS PER HOUR 20 – at equal intervals
CHAPTER 3 – INSTALLATION
DANGER
Risk of electric discharge All installation operations must be performed
with the pump disconnected from the mains.
DANGER In order to avoid serious personal injury, it is
strictly forbidden to inspect the suction opening
by hand while the pump is connected to the
mains.
For the transportation and lifting of the pump, use the handle serving for this purpose.
In the event of fix installation carried out with rigid pipe conduits, it is recommended to install
a non-return valve in order to avoid the backflow of the liquid at the stopping of the pump.
Mounting a quick-action connector in the proper place will make it easier to perform the
cleaning and maintenance operation.
The collecting shaft shall have such sizes that the least possible number of starts per hour is
made possible. (See LIMITS OF APPLICATION)
In the event of provisional use, it is recommended to use a flexible hose which is connected to
the pump by means of a rubber hose connection. For the moving of the pump, use a cord to be
fastened to the handle.
Pumps type NEPTUN, NEPTUN INOX, CT2274, CT2274W, CT3274, CT3274W, CT4274 and
CT4274W of ELPUMPS Ltd are equipped with preset floating switch.
Special requirements may arise for pumps used in the interior of or next to swimming pools,
or next to garden pools or similar places.
