FUEL LEAK
CONDITION: - FMS Fuel Remaining quantity is above the MFD or
EICAS total fuel indication.
- Excessive Fuel flow from one of the engines.
- Fuel imbalance develops.
- Fuel quantity of a tank decreases at an abnormal rate.
Land at the nearest suitable airport.
Crossfeed Selector ....................................................... OFF
Affected Fuel Tank........................................................ IDENTIFY
Asymmetric Thrust........................................................ AS REQUIRED
If the leak is on the right side tank:
APU............................................................................ OFF
Right tank supplies fuel to the APU.
The pilot may consider to shutdown the engine if fuel leakage
continues and is severe:
Associated Thrust Lever ............................................ IDLE
Start/Stop Selector ..................................................... STOP
NOTE: Engine will not shutdown with the Start/Stop Selector unless
associated Thrust Lever is first moved to IDLE. If STOP is
selected before Thrust Lever is retarded to IDLE,
momentarily cycle START/STOP Selector to RUN and back
to STOP.
