The EMX KPX-100 is a programmable keypad designed for access control in various environments. It features a durable metal housing and backlit keys, making it suitable for high-traffic areas and harsh conditions. The keypad can be connected to door strike controls, security systems, and automatic gate or door operators, and is designed for easy mounting on gooseneck stands, posts, or walls.
The KPX-100 is a dual relay output keypad, meaning it can control two separate outputs. It supports both multi-user and single-user modes, allowing for flexible access management. In multi-user mode (factory default), it can store up to 100 user keys for Relay 1 and 10 user keys for Relay 2. In single-user mode, one user key is assigned per relay. The keypad also supports advanced features such as Super User Keys, Duress Keys, and Visitor Keys. Super User Keys are multi-task keys that can be used to escape from locking mode. Duress Keys activate output 1 and duress outputs simultaneously to report a user under duress, with support for up to 10 duress keys. Visitor Keys can be configured for one-time use or for a specified duration (1-99 hours), with up to 10 visitor keys available.
The keypad includes various configurable options for its outputs. Relay outputs can be set to momentary mode (triggered for 1-999 seconds) or start/stop toggle mode (triggered until the user key is re-entered). Output 2 can also function as a supervisor mode to disable Output 1 if wired in series.
Security features include false key lock-up and reporting, which can lock the keypad for a specified duration (30 seconds or 15 minutes) or activate a duress output after a certain number of successive false keys. It can also clear all lock-up and reporting codes. Door forced open alarms can be configured to sound an alarm for 60 seconds through terminal 13, or to have no action. A door propped open alarm can also be set to sound after a specified time (1-999 seconds) or to have no alarm.
The keypad offers customizable feedback options, including correct key entry tones (no beep, two beeps, or one beep) and keystroke tones (silenced or beep on every keystroke). The Orange LED standby behavior can be set to OFF or to flash during system standby.
*. The factory default programming key is 0000. The orange LED turns on when in programming mode.40 or 50 changes output length (1-999 seconds), while 41 or 51 sets toggle mode.# after entry, provided they match the programming key length.0000 without affecting stored user data. This involves disconnecting power, moving the DAP jumper from OFF to ON, reconnecting power (keypad will beep), moving the DAP jumper back to OFF (keypad stops beeping), and then the keypad is in programming mode with 0000 as the programming key.| Brand | EMX Industries |
