Special conditions
• Avoid electrostatic charging of coated and plastic surfaces. Do not rub.
Do not use in media or environments which may generate electrostatic charges on the coated and plastic
surfaces.
• Avoid impact and friction sparks.

Installation
• The suitability of the radiometric measurement method and of the device for applications in explosion
hazardous areas has to be checked by the operator of the plant according to national regulations.
• Comply with the installation and safety instructions in the Operating Instructions.
• Install the device according to the manufacturer's instructions and any other valid standards and regulations.
• Do not operate the device outside the specified electrical, thermal and mechanical parameters.
• Do not operate the device in environmental conditions that can result in the corrosion of the device or in
the pneumatic actuator.
• Connect the apparatus to the on-site potential equalisation line.
• Do not disconnect the compressed air supply in explosive atmospheres.
