Overview

This document describes the Energy Sistem MP4 Touch Bluetooth, a portable media player designed for music, video, and image playback, featuring Bluetooth technology and a built-in FM radio.

Function Description

The MP4 Touch Bluetooth is a versatile device that allows users to enjoy their media wirelessly. It supports various audio formats like MP3, FLAC, WMA, WAV, and APE, ensuring high-fidelity sound. For video playback, it handles AMV format, with a dedicated converter software provided to facilitate conversion from AVI, WMV, MPG, VOB, and ASF files. Image viewing is supported for BMP, JPG, and GIF formats on its 1.8-inch LCD screen. The device also includes an integrated FM radio with 30 preset stations and a direct recording option, allowing users to record FM broadcasts in WAV format. A digital voice recorder with a built-in microphone is also included for capturing audio notes. The device features intelligent folder browsing, 7 EQ modes for customized audio, and a playback speed selector. Firmware is updatable, and no drivers are needed for basic functionality.

Usage Features

General Operation: To turn the device on or off, slide the On/Off/Lock switch upwards and hold for 2 seconds. To lock or unlock the device, briefly move the same switch to the corresponding up or down position. The device is charged via a microUSB cable connected to a computer or other USB power source. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. Charging time is typically 2 to 3 hours. For optimal battery health, avoid leaving the device charging for more than 8 hours and switch it off or avoid using it during charging.

Power Saving: The MP4 Touch extends battery life through display auto-off and complete device shutdown after periods of inactivity. These times can be adjusted in the 'SETTINGS' menu under 'Screen settings' and 'Auto shutdown -> Standby'. To unlock the screen, briefly move the On/Off/Lock switch upwards. It is advised not to disable these power-saving systems entirely. If the device becomes unresponsive or is not recognized by a computer, it can be restarted by inserting a sharp pointed object into the microphone connection.

Main Menu Navigation: The main menu provides access to various functions: MUSIC, MOVIE, RADIO, RECORD, PICTURE, FILE LIST, and SETTING. Navigation through menus and options is done using the Volume + and Volume - buttons, with the Play / Pause button used for selection. The MENU button allows access to submenus and returns to the main menu when pressed briefly or held down.

Music Playback: To play music, select 'MUSIC' from the main menu and press Play / Pause. Use the Play / Pause button to start, pause, or restart playback. Briefly press Back or Next buttons to change tracks; hold them to rewind or fast-forward. Playback settings, such as 'Repeat' mode (Normal, Repeat one, Folder, Repeat folder, Repeat all, Random, Intro) and 'Equalizer' (Normal, Rock, Pop, Classic, Soft, Jazz, Bass), can be accessed via the MENU button during playback. The 'Replay mode' allows continuous repetition of a segment of a song by marking start (A) and end (B) points using the Volume + button. Playlists can be created, stored, or deleted by album, artist, or genre. All songs stored on the device are viewable, sorted alphabetically. For proper sorting by album, artist, or genre, ID3-Tags must be registered in the audio files. Lyrics (LRC files) can be displayed if available.

Folder Navigation: This feature allows direct selection of music, video, or image files from folders organized on a PC. When browsing, only file types associated with the current section (e.g., music files in Music mode) will be displayed.

Radio Mode: Select 'FM Radio' from the main menu to listen to the integrated FM radio. The device will resume the last station played. Use Next and Back buttons to browse frequencies (brief press for single step, hold for auto search). Press Play / Pause to switch between saved stations. Radio options, including 'Save' (to store current station), 'Record' (to record FM broadcasts in WAV format), 'Delete' (to delete current preset), 'Delete all' (to delete all presets), and 'Auto Search' (to scan and store the first 20 stations), are accessible via the MENU button. Recording destination and quality can be set during FM recording.

Voice Recorder: Access 'Record' from the main menu. Press Play / Pause to start recording. Briefly press Play / Pause to pause and resume. Hold the MENU button to finish recording. Recorded WAV files are stored in the 'RECORD' folder and can be played back from there or through folder navigation.

Image Viewing: Select 'Picture' from the main menu to view BMP, JPG, and GIF images. Navigate through images using Back and Next buttons. The 'Playback set' option in the submenu allows setting auto or manual play.

Video Player: Select 'Video' from the main menu to play AMV videos. Use Back and Next buttons to change videos or rewind/fast-forward (by holding). Video options, including 'Local folder' (to browse videos), 'Delete file' (to delete current video), 'Delete all' (to delete all videos), and 'Repeat' mode, are accessible via the MENU button.

Video Converter: The included AMV Video Converter software allows conversion of AVI, WMV, MPG, VOB, and ASF videos to AMV format for playback on the device. Installation involves connecting the MP4 to a computer, running "Setup.exe" from the "AMV Video Converter" folder, and following the on-screen instructions. Ensure necessary video codecs (like "K-Lite Standard Pack") are installed on the computer for special video formats. The conversion process involves adding files, selecting a destination folder, and initiating the conversion. Multiple videos can be queued for automatic conversion.

Settings: The 'Settings' menu allows customization of various device aspects. Options include 'Interface' (to change the device theme), 'Display settings' (to adjust backlight auto-off time), 'Language' (to switch UI language), and 'Auto-power off' (to set device shutdown time when not in playback mode).

PC Connection: Connect the MP4 player to a computer via the USB port. The device will be automatically detected as a regular drive without needing drivers, allowing for file transfer. Always safely remove the USB device before disconnecting to prevent data loss.

Maintenance Features

Care and Handling: Avoid exposing the MP4 to impacts, dust, direct sunlight, moisture, or high temperatures. Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products. Keep the device clean by using a soft, dry cloth.

Battery Management: Charge the battery when the low battery icon appears. To prolong battery life, charge completely before first use and avoid overcharging (do not leave charging for more than 8 hours). Do not store the device unused for long periods with an empty battery.

Firmware Reinstallation and Upgrade: If the MP4 player is unresponsive, reboots randomly, or has memory access issues, try pressing the RESET button with a pin or needle. If problems persist, the firmware may be damaged and require reinstallation. New firmware versions may also be available for upgrade. All repairs should be exclusively done by qualified staff. Do not disassemble the device.
