This document describes the ENKHO Steam Iron with Water Tank, model 172591.01. It is a household appliance designed for ironing clothes and fabrics, featuring a water tank for steam generation.
The ENKHO Steam Iron is designed to efficiently iron garments and textiles. Its primary function is to provide both dry ironing and steam ironing capabilities. The integrated water tank allows for continuous steam generation, which helps to remove creases from various fabrics. The appliance features a temperature control dial to select appropriate heat settings for different fabric types and a steam flow control knob to adjust the intensity of the steam. A vertical steam ironing function is also available for removing creases from hanging clothes or curtains.
The iron is intended for domestic use only and not for commercial purposes. It should be kept away from heat sources, direct sunlight, moisture, and sharp edges. Users should avoid operating the appliance with wet hands and immediately unplug it if it becomes damp or wet. Regular checks of the appliance and power cord for signs of wear are recommended. Only original spare parts should be used. Packaging materials should be kept out of reach of children to prevent suffocation.
The appliance has a "Hot surface" warning symbol, indicating a risk of burns during use as exposed surfaces can become very hot. Steam should never be directed towards people or animals. Continuous use of the steam trigger for more than 15 seconds may cause water droplets to emerge from the soleplate; shorter bursts are recommended. The soleplate heats up quickly and requires time to cool down, so it should not be touched. When not in use, the iron must be placed on its designated stand on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. The power cord must be unplugged before filling the water tank. The iron should not be left unattended when plugged in. It should not be used if dropped, visibly damaged, or leaking. Repairs should only be carried out by an authorised technician or similarly qualified person. The iron and its power cord must be kept out of reach of children under 8 years of age when switched on or cooling down. Children aged 8 years or older, and individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, may use the appliance if supervised or instructed on its safe use and potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. The water tank should be filled only up to the maximum mark (1.0 litre) and not overfilled. The connection hose (5) should not be bent.
Before first use, remove any protective films or adhesives from the soleplate and completely unwind the power cord. Ensure the appliance's operating voltage matches the main electrical supply.
The temperature setting mark is located above the temperature dial. To switch on, ensure the temperature dial is in the "MIN" position, plug the power cord into a safety socket, and turn the ON/OFF switch (6) to "I". Select the desired temperature, and wait for the control light (1) to turn off, indicating the appliance is ready for steam ironing. To switch off, turn the temperature dial to "MIN" and set the ON/OFF switch to "O", then unplug the iron.

The desired steam quantity can be adjusted using the steam flow control knob (7), with settings ranging from "MIN" to "MAX".
The water tank has a recessed grip at the bottom for easy removal. It has a "MAX" mark and should not be filled beyond this. The tank capacity is 1.0 litre. After filling, firmly push the tank back into position on the base unit.
It is recommended to use only distilled water. If tap water is used, descaling will be required more frequently. Do not use battery water, dryer water, or water containing additives (starch, perfume, softener, or other chemicals) as these can damage the iron by forming residues in the steam chamber, which may then stain fabrics.
Sort garments by their ironing temperature. Place the iron on the support surface (11), connect it to an earthed electrical outlet, turn the ON/OFF switch to "I", and set the temperature using the dial (4). For delicate garments, start with the lowest temperature. The heating process is indicated by the light on the iron; once it turns off, the operating temperature is reached.
Steam ironing requires a high temperature. Ensure the water tank is always filled to the required level. For initial use, remove the water tank, fill it up to the "MAX" mark (do not overfill), and reposition it on the base. Connect the system, turn the ON/OFF switch to "I", and set the temperature within the " " to " " range. Wait for the soleplate to heat up and the control light (1) to turn off. Then, wait for the steam light to come on. Turn the steam flow regulator to "MAX", press the steam button (2) and keep it locked for about 15 seconds to allow steam to reach the iron. A slightly louder pump noise is normal. Press the steam button again to turn off the steam. If the temperature is too low, water may leak from the soleplate; adjust the temperature dial to at least the " " symbol. If the soleplate cools down after prolonged continuous steam ironing, water may leak; reduce the steam level or interrupt steam generation to allow reheating.
This function provides a constant vertical steam spray, useful for removing creases from hanging clothes or curtains. Do not direct steam towards people.
When the water tank needs refilling, the water tank light (9) will illuminate. Place the iron on the support surface (11), turn the temperature dial to "MIN", switch off the appliance ("O"), and unplug it. Remove the water tank, fill it to the "MAX" mark, and reposition it. Plug the iron back in, turn it on ("I"), and wait for the soleplate to reheat (control light (1) turns off) before continuing to iron.
Switch off the appliance ("O"), allow it to cool completely, and wrap the power cord around the cable reel (10) before storing.
If tap water is used, descaling is necessary. It is recommended to descale after approximately 15 tank refills, depending on water hardness. Descaling is essential if the appliance starts emitting limescale particles. To descale:
Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water to clean it, as this can cause electric shock or fire. Do not use wire brushes, abrasive objects, acidic, or abrasive cleaning agents. Clean the unit's body, soleplate, and support base with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Any residual water in the tank should be removed if it has been stored for a long period.
The crossed-out dustbin symbol indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from household waste at the end of its life. It should be delivered to a designated collection facility for electrical and electronic equipment or returned to the retailer when purchasing a new, equivalent appliance. Proper waste separation and recycling contribute to health and environmental protection. Users are responsible for delivering the appliance to appropriate collection facilities. Non-compliance with disposal regulations may result in administrative sanctions and fines.
