This document describes the ENO ANTIGUA Plancha "5331" and Barbecue grill "5333", gas-powered cooking appliances designed for outdoor use, particularly suitable for marine installations.
Function Description
The ENO ANTIGUA series offers two primary cooking functions: a "Plancha" (griddle) and a "Barbecue grill". Both appliances are designed for outdoor use and are not connected to an exhaustion system for combustion products. They operate on LPG (Butane or Propane) and are intended for installation in a support cabinet that can withstand temperatures up to 90°C without deterioration.
The Plancha "5331" functions as a flat-top griddle, ideal for cooking a wide variety of foods, from searing meats to grilling vegetables, offering even heat distribution across its surface.
The Barbecue grill "5333" is equipped with a grilling plate, designed for traditional barbecue cooking, allowing for direct flame exposure and characteristic grill marks on food.
Both models feature a safety valve with Flame Failure Device (FFD) and an ignitor for safe and easy startup. They are designed for embedded installation, requiring specific clearances and a robust support structure.

Usage Features
Safety First:
- Outdoor Use Only: The appliance must never be used indoors.
- Lid Safety: Do not close the lid when the burner is in operation.
- Hot Surfaces: Accessible parts can become very hot; keep young children away.
- No Modifications: Do not modify any part of the product.
- Stability: Do not move the appliance during use.
- Protective Gloves: Recommended when handling hot elements.
- Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning or handling the juice collection bowl.
- Gas Shut-off: Always close the gas cylinder valve after use or turn off the supply valve.
- Flammable Materials: Do not store or use flammable liquids or vapors near the appliance.
- Gas Leaks: In case of gas smell, immediately close the gas cylinder valve.
Before Use:
- Leak Check: Verify tightness; if a leak is detected, shut off the gas supply.
- Hose Placement: Ensure the gas hose or flexible tube is not in contact with hot parts of the appliance.
- Lid Open: Always open the lid during operation.
- First Use: Operate the empty appliance for 15 minutes to burn off manufacturing residues (a slight smell may be noticed).
- Preheating: Preheat the plancha for 10 minutes on the large flame setting before cooking.
Igniting the Burners:
- Gas Supply: Open the butane or propane gas cylinder.
- Safety Valve: The appliance features a locking valve in the "off" position (marked with a full disk) for total security.
- Operation: Press the knob and turn it towards the large flame symbol.
- Ignition: Activate the ignitor (a click and spark will ignite the burner). Keep the knob pressed for approximately 10 seconds to engage the safety device, then release.
- Flame Check: Verify the burner is well ignited (mist will appear on the lid). If the burner does not stay alight, repeat the operation.
- Flame Adjustment: Adjust flame length by rotating the knob towards the small flame symbol.
- Shut-off: Rotate the knob towards the "off" position (full disk).
- Manual Ignition: In case of ignitor failure, use a long match to light the burner.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning After Each Use:
- Warm Plancha: Scrape cooking residues towards the draining bowl using a wooden or stainless steel spatula (avoid plastic or Teflon spatulas). Deglaze the plancha with water or white vinegar to cut odors between cooking different foodstuffs.
- Cold Plancha: Clean with a wet sponge and dishwashing liquid (avoid corrosive materials), then dry thoroughly.
Barbecue Grill Cleaning:
- Cold Barbecue: Remove the grilling plate from its clips and the reflector (as shown in the diagram) to empty grease and clean. The grilling plate and reflector can be washed in a dishwasher.
Long-Term Storage:
- Lid Closure: Close the lid once the appliance is cold.
- Hose Inspection: Regularly check the gas hose. Replace it if there is any doubt or if its validity date has expired. Ensure the hose is not twisted and kept away from hot parts.
Venturi Tube Inspection (for long periods of non-use):
- Remove Grilling Plate: Detach the grilling plate.
- Unscrew Burner Fixing Screws: Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the burner fixing screws.
- Check Venturi Tube: Verify that the burner's venturi tube is not blocked. If blocked, remove any dirt and reassemble the components in reverse order.
General Maintenance:
- Regular Checks: The entire gas connection assembly (regulator, flexible tube, valve) must be controlled at regular intervals.
- Replacement of Damaged Parts: Any deterioration of these elements requires immediate replacement of the faulty unit.
- Professional Installation/Maintenance: Installation and maintenance should be carried out by a qualified professional in accordance with current regulations (e.g., NF DTU P45 204, NF/EN 10239, ISO/DIS 9094-1.2, Directive 94/25/CE for pleasure boats).
- Tightness Control: Perform a tightness test according to NF/EN 10239.3 (Paragraph 10) before commissioning. Use soapy water to detect leaks; never use a naked flame. Avoid detergents containing ammonia, as they can damage brass connections over time.
- Operational Test: After pressure testing, all connected appliances, including burners with FFD, must be tested in operation. Visually check flame height to ensure correct service pressure.
