D.- Direct draw valve. (Only in
EQHR models)
This valve serves to regulate draw in
the chimney, reducing or increasing the flow
of gases from the fireplace and,
consequently, it can also be used for
combustion control. We recommend it for
use in chimneys with excessive draw.
Push the rod in to open the valve. As
you pull the rod out, the draw will gradually
close.
To open the door, the draw valve
should be fully open.
V.- CLEANING.
A. Of the painted cast iron front section.
Always use dry cloths
B. - Of the glass pane
1. Cleaning
Fireplace window cleaning liquids are quite
effective products.
Never try to clean the glass while the
fireplace is working.
2. Replacing.
The glass pane in your fireplace is made of
thermal material, especially manufactured for log
and/or coal fireplaces.
If it should break due to an accident, it
must be replaced by another glass pane with the
same technical specifications. Contact our
Distributor to provide you with the appropriate
glass pane, together with instructions to assemble
and seal it.
C.- Removing ash.
The cast iron fireplace includes an ash pan
below the hearth. (See Fig.-14)
To eliminate ashes, withdraw the cast iron
grill (round cover) using a protective glove, and
remove it from the fireplace to facilitate the
cleaning operation.
Sweep the ash using a scraper or brush towards
the ash pan. Remove the ash pan and throw
away the ash.
