Why is the grill on my Esse 1000 not working effectively?
    • J
      Joseph NguyenJul 29, 2025
Several factors might be at play. First, ensure the grill dial is turned clockwise to the desired setting and that the indicator light is glowing red, as the grill might not be switched on. Also, the grill is set to automatically switch off after 30 minutes of use, so manually switch the grill off, then back to the desired setting. Finally, the grill pan may be positioned too low in the oven; if this is the case, switch the grill off and, using an oven glove, reposition the wire shelf closer to the grill.

What to do if the induction zone on my Esse Cookers is not working?
    • Y
      yjonesAug 6, 2025
There are several possible reasons why the induction zone isn't working. First, check if the lock is active and remove it. Make sure the induction hob is switched on using the Power On / Off button. The pan you're using might not be appropriate for induction cooking, so use a pan of appropriate material. Finally, ensure the pan base is flat; if it isn't, use a pan with a flat base.

How to fix an Esse 1000 Cookers oven or hotplate that is not working or getting to temperature?
    • L
      Lisa GarrettAug 13, 2025
If your oven or hotplate isn't working, start by ensuring it's switched on using the appropriate dial on the controls. Also, check if the timer is on with the temperature set at slumber; if so, either remove the timer program and switch to ‘Manual Operation’ or temporarily override the timer program. If an LED is alternating green and red, it indicates a thermocouple fault.

How to stop condensation on the front of my Esse 1000?
    • J
      James CummingsAug 20, 2025
Condensation can occur when the oven, hotplate, or grill heats the cold metal of the cooker. Wipe the condensation with a clean cloth, ensuring it is dry, to avoid smearing. When the cooker is not in use, consider leaving at least one element on slumber. Additionally, open the relevant steam vent to allow excess moisture to escape.
