Over-heating protection
The fryer is equipped with a safety heat switch which will disconnect the heating body in case
of insufficient or no amount of oil. If the fryer does not work after having been connected to
the el. outlet, press button D6 (RESET) with a suitable tool (e.g. a screwdriver).
Connect the power plug D7 to the electrical grid – indicator lights D4 and D5 will turn on.
Pour the frying medium into the pot B up to the mark MAX. Using the control dial D3 set the
desired temperature (information about the required temperature is found on the food label
or in the table in this user’s manual). Allow the medium to full heat up (approx. 10 minutes).
The correct temperature is indicated by the indicator light D5. Slowly place the full basket
C into the pot B. Subsequently close the lid E and the deep frying may begin. It is normal
for steam to be emitted from the lid during deep frying, this is not a defect. We recommend
that you regularly stir the foods while frying to prevent them from sticking together. After
nishing cooking the food turn the dial D3 to the off position. Remove the lid so that you do
not come into contact with hot steam, pull the basket above the level of the frying medium
and then hang it in the storage position. Allow excess oil to drip off the food.
