1. INTENDED USE
The test lamp is used to see whether a power cable in a 6-24 Volt direct current on-board network of a vehicle is carrying power.
This device is not designed to be used by children and people with limited mental capacities or those without experience and/or knowledge.
Children mus t be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
The device is not designated for commercial use.
Any other use or modication to the device is considered improper usage and brings considerable risks with it. EAL GmbH accepts no liability for damages caused as
a result of improper use.
2. SCOPE OF DELIVERY
Test lamp with protective cap and measuring cable with crocodile clip.
3. SPECIFICATIONS
Voltage range: 6 - 24 V direct current
Cable length: 60 cm
4. SAFETY NOTES
Keep children away and do not permit children to use this device!
Only use this product for the intended use!
Do not manipulate or disassemble the device!
For your own safety, only use accessories or replacement parts specied in the instructions or that the manufacturer has recommended!
Do not use the test lamp with vehicles that have sensitive on-board electronics. This may create voltage peaks which are able to destroy these
electronic components.
Never use the test lamp on ignition systems. Ignition cables may carry voltages of multiple 1000 Volt.
The test lamp is a universal use product without any specic vehicle assignment. Before rst use, make sure that the test lamp can be used
correctly with your vehicle. For more information, see the specications of the manufacturer as set out in your vehicle manual. This is necessary since
incorrect use of the product may endanger the safety of the vehicle and/or the properties of the vehicle.
The test lamp may not be used for voltages greater than 24 Volt. The test lamp may not be used, for example, in the home
(220/230 Volt) in conjunction with power sockets.
This is potentially fatal!
5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Locating a plus power cable in a vehicle with minus to earth:
Connect the crocodile clip to the battery minus pole or to the vehicle earth (e.g. the motor). Hold the test tip against the cable connection to be tested. If the lamp
lights up, current is owing and you have located a plus cable.
Locating a minus power cable in a vehicle with minus to earth:
Connect the crocodile clip to the plus pole of the battery. Hold the test tip against the cable connection to be tested. If the lamp lights up, current is owing and
you have located a minus cable.
When using the test lamp, remember that some classic vehicles, or English vehicles, for example, may have the plus pole connected to earth.
