Overview

The LM Series Spiral Mixers are a new generation of kneading machines designed for commercial use, offering enhanced mixing speed and efficiency. These mixers feature a unique design where both the dough arm and the bowl rotate simultaneously, contributing to their high performance. Each machine is equipped with a protective cover, ensuring safe and straightforward operation. The overall aesthetic is modern and functional, making these mixers suitable for a variety of professional settings.

Function Description

The primary function of the LM Series Spiral Mixers is to knead dough efficiently and quickly. The simultaneous rotation of the dough arm and bowl significantly increases the mixing speed and overall efficiency compared to traditional kneaders. This design ensures thorough and consistent dough preparation, which is crucial for various food products. The mixers are ideal for use in hotels, restaurants, and food processing factories where large quantities of dough need to be prepared regularly. Additionally, their precision and efficiency make them suitable for material preparation in medicine-making factories and chemical working facilities, highlighting their versatility beyond typical culinary applications.

Usage Features

Operating the LM Series Spiral Mixers is designed to be user-friendly and safe. Before operation, the machine must be placed on a stable, horizontal surface in an environment with a suitable temperature. It is crucial to verify that the power supply matches the machine's requirements and that all wires are properly connected, with the machine correctly grounded. A protective cover is integrated into the design, which must be closed before starting the machine. If the machine does not start with the cover open, it indicates a safety mechanism is in place, requiring the cover to be properly secured.

To use the mixer, the protective cover is opened, and the appropriate amount of flour is added to the bowl, ensuring not to exceed the determined maximum capacity. Water, typically 45%-50% of the flour weight, is then added. Once the ingredients are in, the protective cover is closed, and the machine is started. Dough kneading usually takes approximately 8 minutes, after which the stop button is pressed, the protective cover is opened, and the dough can be removed.

Safety is paramount during operation. It is strictly forbidden to insert hands or any hard objects into the bowl while the machine is working, as this poses a significant risk of injury. Similarly, cleaning, oiling, or lubricating the machine while it is in operation is prohibited. The mixer is intended solely for commercial use; any other use may be dangerous. Operators must be fully trained and competent in using the mixer and its attachments. Loose clothing should be avoided to prevent entanglement with rotating parts. Accessing rotating parts or attempting to reach into the bowl while mixing is dangerous. Excessive force should not be used during operation, as it could affect the mixer's stability. The mixer should never be operated if parts are disassembled, safety switches are overridden, or the guard is opened to stop the machine. If a fault develops or the mixer is deemed unsafe, it should not be operated.

When handling ingredients like flour, care must be taken to avoid inhaling dust particles, which can be harmful to health, potentially causing rhinitis, watery eyes, or occupational asthma. If dust is a hazard, appropriate personal protective equipment, such as a mask, should be worn. The mixer should always be used in a well-lit area. Before adding more ingredients, the mixer must be stopped using the designated stop button.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance is essential for prolonging the life and ensuring the safe operation of the LM Series Spiral Mixers. All maintenance work must be performed after the machine has been unplugged from the power supply. Regular cleaning and lubrication are critical.

After each use, the machine should be cleaned carefully. This involves removing any remaining debris, gently wiping down the bowl and hook with a nylon brush or cloth towel to remove dough pieces. An approved detergent and water solution, or a vinegar and water solution, should be used for wiping down the bowl and hook. Following this, the machine should be rinsed with clean water and a cloth. Finally, approved sanitizers should be applied according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring the entire machine is wiped down, and then allowed to air dry. It is crucial not to use bleach (hypo sodium chloride), fill with water, hose down the machine, or use steel wool/scrubber pads or any abrasive materials, as these can damage the appliance.

During service and maintenance, the motor and other parts should be gradually dismounted. Chains and bearings require regular lubrication. It is recommended to lubricate chains and main moving parts approximately once a month. The belt and chain tension should be checked about once every six months, and the electric circuit should be inspected annually.

If the machine requires repair, it should only be serviced by an expert using original spare parts. Failure to follow these requirements can be dangerous. Installations and repairs not carried out by authorized technicians, or the use of non-original spare parts, along with any technical alterations, may void the warranty. Regular servicing, at least twice a year depending on usage frequency, is advised. The manual should be kept in an easily accessible place near the mixer for future reference.

Troubleshooting common issues is also covered. If the machine fails to start, potential causes include loose electrical connections or an improperly closed protective cover. If the safety switch does not work, the press plate of the safety switch might be loose, or there could be an issue with its electric circuit. High machine temperature can result from prolonged working time, insufficient supply voltage, or an overload/incorrect machine operation. Low efficiency may indicate a general machine problem, excessively worn transmission parts, a motor issue, or loose belts and chains that need tightening or replacement.

The mixer is a Class I appliance, meaning its protection against electric shock relies on basic insulation. An external electrical isolator and MCB/fuses (supplied separately) must be fitted to the incoming electrical supply. A 35 mA residual current device is strongly recommended for additional protection. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
